How does this look for a Ranger build?

~80 DEX
rest VIT

Remaining pts in either Blessed Aim for AR passive bonus, or 1-5 pts each in utility defensive auras like Vigor, Cleansing.

Demon Machine or Kuko primary w/Holy Fire for ~1k AOE damage.
Witchwild String Shael+ smthing else w/Fanatacism for single targets/Fire immunes

Lava Gouts for IAS (maxed out for Demon Machine, decent w/shaeled Kuko, near maxed w/fanat for WWS) and more fire dmg and AR.

Razortail for pierce.

Questions:
1. Should I go with BA passive bonus or defensive utilites?
2. How much of a problem will AR be?
3. Do you need AR to trigger multiple Kuko explosions?
4. What equip should I use for helm/armor/jewelry?

I think you will need at least 200 in dex in order to boost AR and Damage on the Fanaticism switch.
1- Go with BA . AR will never be enought in hell anyway.
2- With only 80 DEx ,AR and Physical damage will suck , (unless if you have godly gear)
3- The splash damage will hit enemy once(AR does not matter in this case).BUT if you also hit the monster (The arrow, not the splash, an AR here does matter) will cause another hit (double damage).

Personally, I'd go with Holy Shock instead of Holy Fire if you want to play an Elemental Ranger. A lot more damage. To each his own, I guess.

There are several unique bows/xbows that "fire explosive arrows or bolts", basically every arrow you shoot it a low level exploding arrow, just like the amazon skill.

Part of the deal is that ALL FIRE DAMAGE YOU DO is transferred to the explosion. So if you have a 1k dmg holy fire, all your arrows do 1k+ fire damage to an explosion radius.

That sounds like a lot of fun. My amazon is using Kuko in nightmare, and the explosion has a good radius and does decent damage. Adding 1k fire damage would be awesome! Good luck, and tell us how it goes.
