Also, given that Drain Effectiveness 100 and Damage Resist 0, if my life leech is greater than 8%, i will never lose life with Sacrifice, is it correct?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that all the paladin's weapon attacks are melee only.

the only way you can increase your damage with a bow as a paladin is with auras (usually holy shock/freeze/fire). any non-casting combat skill only works with melee weapons.

Wouldn't be cool if Vengeance worked on bows?

Don't make the bowzon people cry even more because they've already been nerfed enough.

ITT, people who don't know anything about sacrifice.

1. Sacrifice and all pally combat skills that aren't spells (FOH, HB), are melee only.
2. Sacrifice is NOT canceled out by 8% leech in all cases. Leech is calculated based on how much dmg the target takes, but sac is calculated based on how much damage you do. So if you hit a monster with 100 life left for 1000 damage, you will only leech 8 life, but take 80 sac dmg

A couple more things to note about Sacrifice:

Building on Wingspans second point, remember that there are leech penalties in hell so that 8% is really only 2% in Hell (I think its a 75% reduction).

Also note that monsters now have a trait called 'Drain Effectiveness' that alters the percent that you can leech from them. So even if you account for the leech penalty in Hell mode, you may still not leech as much as you think you are due to the drain effectiveness trait of the monster you are attacking.

To better clarify, that's the life leech needed to negate sacrifice. Sacrifice's self-damage is stuck at 8% in all difficulties, vs all monsters.

If you're going to use Sacrifice, for god's sake have 20-30% life leech or more, and don't use it to kill monsters at 1-5% life
