So I quit D2 about 2 years ago to play other games for a while, and Im coming back. I want to roll an Assassin, but I can't seem to find a guide for the sort of build Im looking for (Not one that is loading in IE anyways... Maybe it's me?), and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction.

Basically, I want a PvM Assassin who uses Claws and some traps. Most of the guides I see are all kicks//traps, or are based on PvP Claws. Is that mostly because in PvM Claws< Kicks? Or are people bored of their Claws?

Just hoping for a bit of direction. (Yes, I've tried the Strategy Compendium, but it doesn't load for me, and neither do any of the guides within it from the Stickied post,).

Thanks in Advance!

Must be you they seem to load ok for me. I'd keep trying those guides and make sure your IE is updated. Seems kind of wierd that they won't load.

*Edit I take that back several of them won't load for me.

IMO, yes that is the case. You have DTalon which is very fast attack, which combined with a good amount of crushing blow can be very devestating to any single monster in the game. I know I know, except for Immune to physical.

You also have DTail which combines with Tiger Strike can create very high kick damage with added fire splash damage.

Now there are tons of variations on these types of sins and there are also others that use neither claw nor kicks. They normally utilize blade fury (right one?).

If your set on using claws for your main attack, your looking at build around Phoenix Strike more than likely. Unless you have the resources to put together a whirlwind sin.

I would recommend either an assassin that uses DTalon and is supported by death sentry or a TS/DTailer build as described above.

Fact is there are too many cool builds to really give you an amazing answer to this, but those are my recommendations.

Take a look at the warrior monk build stickie.
