trist smiter merc gear?

hey im making a trist 1pt smiter. and i was wondering what merc i should use and with what gear.

Don't rely on him too much as he will die quite quickly but I use an Act 2 Might Merc with Bonehew with 2 x Amn in it, either Tals Mask or Vamp Gaze and whatever armour you can lay your hands on, the more decent the better...in my case, being HC, I can't afford an eth 10,000000 Def CoH for a Merc, let alone a character, so I just slap something on them like a Lionheart in an elite eth armour or an upped Shaftstop or something along those lines...hope that helped!

i would still say don't relay on your merc.
merc's are stupid and they can mess up you run totally if you try to lure meph out, and stupid merc is going walking in the town square.

well i use enigma when tristing
so with my hf merc i can control him very well
works only a little bit to control minions because he dies quickly, but u really dont need him

It would be easiest to tp to river of flames, enter CS, wait for IM, let merc kill himself, don't revive him, do UT on your own.

Really, he will be dead in seconds in UT. Well, maybe not, if you want to waste 8 Full rejuvs on him, but he's not worth it. Besides, he could wander too much and spawn a boss you're not yet ready for.

I've been meaning to try a Delirium helm on him for the procs, but really, unless you're already capable of taking on all three at once then taking a merc with you is a risky proposition (and if you're already capable of taking all three at once, no point bothering with a merc). Even with enigma your merc can wander down into trist before you get through the portal and tele, and then you've got hassle.

Don't forget the confuse proc on the Delirium would interrupt your lifetap. Not good. So no merc.

Confuse doesn't overwrite curses on the ubers since confuse doesn't work on them.
