Hey all
I know some of the best cs runners are light sorc w/ infi, light javazon, hdin etc.
However, I heard that trapsin is good too.
However I plan on using these gearz:
Griff or shako?
HoTo
Mara?
Enigma
Spirit?
Arach
Gloves?
Boots?
Rings?
With infi merc if i can afford it.
However my biggest question is:
I understand how light sorcs, javas can be a good runner coz they quite massive dmg like light sorcs do 20k . AFAIK Trapsins can only do about 10k? Is that enuf to kill fast in chaos even in 8 player game? with infi merc dont forget

Shako/ sin circ with fcr
Griffons doesn't help traps.
Trappers can clear chaos in 8 player games but not even close to that of a light sorc of jav zon and they usually have trouble as it is.

My trapper has no problems in chaos, I do full games all the time.
Here's my setup:
hoto/spirit
Enigma
Um'd Shako
Crafted ammy +2 traps with minor res mods and fcr.
Magefists
Arachs
Soj/Raven
Travs
5 Trap gcs, with minor mods on a few,
Anni
torch
cta/spirit on switch
Merc is wearing a low damage polearm with infinity, I don't need him to kill anything, I just need his aura, he's a defiance merc. Holy freeze is nice, but shatters bodies, and you need all the defense you can get. He's also wearing stone in an eth hellforge plate, and andys.
I do about 10-11k damage, and my fireblast does ~5k. I have no problem killing stormcasters with fire blast, as it does a lot of damage, really fast, especially with infinity.
Doom Knights get sliced through like butter- venom lords are the only thing that take more time to kill. I typically approach a group of monsters, and depending on how many people are in the game I'll either tele onto the oblivion knight in the pack, or mind blast the pack, cast cloak of shadows, set up five traps, and then start dropping fire blasts on the oblivions and stormcasters.
Cloak of shadows prevents venom lords from using their fire breath, which hurts a lot since your res probably isn't max.
Death sentry is your friend versus groups of stormcasters, especially the boss group in the seal, if you just kill one you can drop them all instantly with a few death sentries...
On the venom lord seal I usually mind blast them, cast cloak, and just sit there and let them die- they take longer than the others, but it isn't too bad.
Diablo will drop in about 2 seconds after the conviction aura sets on him.
With a low damage polearm your merc will not die to Iron Maiden unless you're careless, it will take him at least 5 hits to lose half his life.

Mine doesn't...
He sits there wacking away for a while, and usually never goes beyond yellow.

chaos is ok if you focus. just need to watch out for iron maiden have cloak of shadows rdy and teleport ready i case merc gets the IM curse. in fact use cloak of shadows as soon as you see those caster packs. they can not cst the curse then.
