I will preface by saying I have taken a looooong break playing DII. I recently got back into it and have a lvl 86 kicksin and will detail out the equipment/skills etc...

I had 3 keysets and decided for the first time I would try to fight the 3 mini Uber Bosses to acquire the organs.

Bosses:

1st- Lilith: As this was my first time doing this, I did not realize there were other monsters in the areas. it was a little annoying to try and get through them (the area was quite large also) the succubi have an annoying attack. I got to lilith who destroyed my lvl 28 Shadow master in 1 hit every time. I did not have too bad a time againster her, I used 1 or 2 potions but mainly becuase I am a noob at this (i was never in real danger vs her) She went down pretty quickly. poison is my worst resist (not maxed w/o fade) but it didnt harm me too much.

2nd- Izual: I had to fight monsters again (this time Oblivion Knights) sadly, I died once even though I advanced cautiosly. STUPID Iron maiden... anyway once you get to Izzy, he went down the quickest out of all. man that was a joke. anyway next boss.

3rd-Durial: Well, this was a change, I didn't fight anyone but Dury. he actually took the longest, for whatever reason either my positioning I dind't seem to be doing a whole lot of dmg on him... unsure why. but I wasn't in a whole heap of danger. except I minimized my screen bya ccident while fighting him and almost freaked.

So. I had a pretty easy time vs all the mini Uber bosses... My real question and reason for this extremely overly long post is, WILL I BE ABLE TO DO UBER TRISTRAM (solo ofcourse) based on the MiniUber result and my equipment/build. Your opinions would be welcomed!

Equipment:

Helm: Guillams (no socket, want to get a 15ias/15all res jewel) I see they are expensive though. (it would give me another kick BP, as well as stack my res's)
Ammy: MetalGrid (not the best but 430 ar is enough to pump me to over 10k w/o demonLimb) and +27 to resists is alwasy welcome (didnt feel like trying to afford anything 30+)
Armor: Fortitude albeit a low defense one... like really low, 600 low. it gives better resists than Durress, adds to life, gives a small DR and increases my kick dmg, which is quite welcome. it doesn't have the resists of CoH but I don't feel like buying that either.
Weapon: Fleshripper w/ Shael. the shael helps me hit the 9/3 BP. (like i mentioned abover a 15 ias jewel will get me to the 8/3 my ending goal)
Shield: Stormshield w/ PDiamond. the DR obviously is great, nuff said.
Rings: +20 dex RavenFrost and Dwarfstar. using for the CbF and fire absorb.
Belt: IK Belt, great resists and + to strength. I am considering switching to TGods, as I would like to have ABSORB of each element, but would have to pump STR a bit more.
Gloves: Dracul's. obviously I am not using LW, so these are all I can use (that is fine) as I reach almost 100% OW even w/o Durress.
Boots: Upped GoreRiders. best dmg, lower str req and the CB is welcomed as well.

My skills are:

Dtalon 20
Venom 20
SMaster 20
Fade 15
DeathS 10
prereq's etc...

I have Dragon Flight but as i don't have much FC (is that what matters?) so after you teleport it seems like he is a sitting duck for a second or two.

I have more resist+ charms in my inventory and Anni/Torch. I haven't tallied the Total resists, I think you need what -100 for Hell and -125 from meph? then +75 to have maxed res's. so 300 correct?

anyway, assuming I have maxed Res's vs meph. would it be doable? what are the strategies to luring the bosses out? who do you go for first etc...?

any advice would be appreciated. Thanks and I will post my results (hoping I win) :)

thank you all

dflight is fixed frame wise. neither ias nor fcr will make it faster, sadly. if you have your res stacked (i believe you are correct in your amount needed to max, have a kira's on hand in case you've made a mistake), you should be okay to take them. what i usually do is take meph first since he's the most dangerous of the three. when you come out the portal swing around to your left and go down the first street a ways (step slowly) until you get meph's attention (you'll know because skellies will start spawning on you). run back a ways so you avoid taking all three at once. meph is super fast so you'll have no trouble getting him to follow. if you're using precast life tap from a wand tap him now (also cloak and anything else that you'll be using). switch to main and start hammering away. i ignore all the minions as long as i'm getting the hits on him fast enough to not go down in life too fast (you may jump a bit as you're hit hard and recover immediately from tap). just make sure that one hit doesnt kill you outright and you'll be okay.

the other two are easy, just draw them off one at a time. the biggest problem will be the ghosts that baal spawns plus his mana burn attack. you may have to mana pot frequently.

Ok, cool

thanks for the suggestions. I have 1300 life atm that should be enough right? I don't have a CtA to prebuff up my life, so I hope so :)

yeah i'll have to sit and calc all my resists tonight to make sure. if I did switch to Kira's I WOULD lose a lot of CB

if I cas Cloak will the minions stop attacking? I have seen a few uber trist runs online and i haven't seen 1 of them where the skelliemages don't shoot.

anyways. thanks. I'll remember to go left right away then head down into the middle and pull back.

is there any point to my Shadow Master being there? or will he just die instantly?

1300 life is good. i'd suggest you get a wand to tap with though, i've been killed before tap went off with around that much life. you cant crush if you're dead so safety first.

i also sugggest you have a backup helper waiting in case you have trouble (preferably someone that has done it without any trouble).

i've not done ubers with a kicker yet (have one, just havent used her yet) most of my suggestions are from a general knowledge standpoint. i dont know about cloak. i know if you cast it too soon the minions that spawn after it's cast wont be affected and i'm pretty sure it's similar to blind (nec curse) that if something is in melee range and is already attacking you, it will continue to attack.

minions have a hard time in trist, but my valk was very useful when i used my bowa. if she dies dont worry, just recast her when you can. things shooting her arent shooting you.

ps. if you're on east either L or NL pm me before you start and i can be your backup.

thanks... all the help is appreciated. Sadly I do not have a "backup" I have a few friends who play but not as much as I and aren't even close to being ready to do the runs... I appreciate the offer, will keep you updated.

yah I guess I should get a lifetap wand. I have 2 bartucs on switch for the +4 to skills for buffing (cheap but effective) then demonlimb in stash/inventory to cast enchant. but with 10k AR and -50% defense w/ Fleshripper I don't seem to have any problems hitting.

also, is it true you cannot Life Leech off these guys?

I don't know about D or Baal, but I recall you definitely can't leech from meph.

You don't need LL when you get lifetap on em'

The resists you need are actually:

-100 (hell)
+30 (anya)
-75 (to max) this will be more if you have plus to maximum resists which some of your equipment does
-125

So all in all you need 270 to all res to max after Meph's conviction... a little more on some of them since your equip will add to the max resists...

I would try and at least get lightning stacked for meph....

Oh and bartuc's have 2 to all skills and 2 to MA skills right?

So your better off getting 2 +3 shadow claws....
