Alright, I thought it would be fairly interesting to go ahead and try a venom bear sin.

I'm not at all sure about stat/skill distribution. Max venom obviously. I want this character to be a poison monster. I have no clue if there are synergies for this skill, and if there are not, i have no clue what else to put points in, but here are my build ideas anyhow.

Weapon- Grief with max minus enemy poison resistance. I'm also debating whether or not a Last wish would work, just for sheer damage purposes, but as I went this to be a poison themed build- I'm leaning towards grief.

Armor- Definitely Bramble. I want a 45+ in terms of increased poison skill damage. High thorns would be a plus.

Shield- For this, I would like to look at a Phoenix monarch with high ED for a damage kick.

Helm- I'm debating between a perfect umed kiras, or a double umed low coa. Kiras would be a lot cheaper, and give me higher res. Coa would be good for the dr/skill however.

Ammy- Most likely a highlords

Rings- High LL BK, and a High dex/ar raven

Gloves- This is between trangs for extra poison skill damage, or dracs for life tap/ll. I'm leaning towards trangs

Belt- This is between a dungos for life/dr and a high bstring for ll/dr

Boots- Most likely gores, but eth treks are on my mind as well.

The switch- A beast/lidless combo.

Charms- I would love to have 10 shadow mastery charms, and seeing as how they're cheap that's reasonable. I'd also like to have res all scs since the likeliahood of me having low res on this build would be high.

So then, will this build work? If it won't are there any suggestions on to as how it would? I love being different, and this sounds fun. I especially need help on stat/skill distribution so if there are in suggestions in that realm, that'd be awesome.

Thanks

with grief you will attack very slowly and your ar will be low cause you have no ar modifier.you should try 3 fpa or 4 fpa with runic claws

i'll take both of these into consideration.
Could someone explain to me what fpa claws are?
thanks

fpa is short for frames per attack i.e. how many frames single attack lasts. you can reach 4 fpa with fury runic claws + 15 ias from bos or equipment. 4 fpa will give you 8 attacks per second, or with 95 ias runic/greater talon you can reach 3 fpa. but this kind of claw is hard to find (3 sox gt/r of quickness) and you totaly give up on physical part of damage

Benefactor here. Hammer out your skill distribution and I'll get you the items you need, sir!

We will make this little booger bear work or my name isn't Lord Tiddlywinkle The Fourth!

i'm thinking that... since venom's a cast-once skill, you could just prebuff like wwsins do

Instead of running around pretty damn slowly, like a fury druid, you could just have your beast/ss out, tele hitting people. The strength on enigma gives you more damage, and the 45frw is very useful if you actually do wanna chase people, not to mention the +2skills also. The only thing i can see using bramble is the thorns aura.. but that isn't such a winner the way i see it compared to the usefulness of enigma.

Ugh......suggesting enigma totally defeats the point of the poisonbear.

Another problem is that the OP said he wants Phoenix for good kicks? You're not gonna kick as a bear, man. Choose one or the other, not both.

As far as Grief is concerned, speed is the least of your worries. A "poison monster" isn't gonna be so monstrous with only level 17 Venom casting every second, overriding your (should be higher level) Venom.

i think lower level venom cant override higher level, but not sure, and lazy to check
