How many points do I need to spend in Summon Resistance? I'm planning to build a Fishy/Revive nec for the first time, and I was wondering if too few points in Summon Resistance would cause the revives or skeletons to die too easily from elemental attacks.
Thanks!
just one. with all the + to skills it will be more then high enough. mine is at the point where even more skill levels give nothing - for instance mine is level 21? i think, and if i put a point in it would go from 67 to 67 on the tooltip= useless. One is more then enough.

I ran some tests recently which indicated that Summon Resist's Resist All +% is only applied to Necroskeletons, Necromages and Golems, not Revives. :sad2:

revives don't really need it, they have really high HP. their 3 minutes will run out before their HP does.

Thanks for all of your replies :D Let me add some details. My Nec is pretty poor... maybe only +2-3 all skills and that's it. Also, is it true that revives don't benefit from Summon Resistance? If so, I may not even add a single point in it :p

Yeah, it is true. If you don't want to take onderduiker's word for it, RTB says the same thing in this thread (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=621000).

Revive is still a useful skill without summon resist, and definately worth one point.
Revives are practically immune to damage, even the dreaded IM, and can definately add some flexabilty to the build. You can reveive monsters that add elemental, ranged, and CB to your arsenal.
Monsters that are revived have very high hp, so does it matter whether a summon takes 1/2 elemental damage through summon resist or has double life like a revive, either way they will live just as long.
