Is there anyway to do gliched meph without going to other peoples games?

Like say I kill meph in act 3 and never take the portal and just never go past act 3 in hell will it be gliched? since i actually am not going to act4?

I really don't want to have to join other peoples games and go kill him

Nope. Only Andy can be glitched.

The meph glitch (which actually works on any boss and is a whole other thing from the Andy glitch) is done by not completing the Mephisto quest. As long as you do not complete the quest, and kill meph only in games where you can not complete the quest (created by a player who has already done it) then you will get quest drops every time. That's the glitch and it's pretty easy to do since there's always 100 baalbot games going on where you obviously can not get the quest (always double check, though).

Well, it's a glitch in the sense that you get a "quest" reward, and yet do not complete the quest :P

You can. All you need is a second character that has completed Meph. Start the game and perm it. Then switch to your other char.
