View Full Version : Best 2-handed uniques?

I've got 2 ideas I want to try soon, both PvM:
- Frenzy Barb with dual large swords (pretty standard I know)
- Leap Attack / Berzerk Barb swinging a large 2-handed weapon (this one's more challenging)

I don't have time for MF-ing so I don't have access to stuff like BotD and Grief soon.

So I am looking for some ideas which weapons to use:

1) Which unique 2-handed sword is the best?

2) Which unique 2-handed Axe, Mace or Polearm is the best? I'm thinking Tombreaver, but in that case what should I use until I'm lvl 84?

3) Cheaper runewords? I might go with Oath. Is that better than the uniques?

4) What might I use for leveling of the same characters?

Upped Bonesnap + Leap! (This is a little slow for berserk, but depending on how you play you 'zerker you might not need the speed)

Insight Thresher + Bersker/Leap!

Upped Steeldriver + Leap/Berserk!

Upgraded Ribcracker (which acts as a Mace class) is a great unique. As a side note, I wouldn't suggest using Leap Attack simply because it's inconvenient to use; Berserk/War Cry is fairly popular for two-handers.

As far as swords go, I would definitely vote for Oath.

Tnx for the comments so far.

- I hadn't thought of Insight for some reason; I have a Thresher and Giant Thresher lying around.

- Steeldriver: I think I just found one a week ago but didn't keep it.

- Ribcracker: This is what I'm using for all my Druids, but I hadn't considered it for a Barb. I didn't know it counted as a Mace (so you get bonus from Mace Mastery).

Concerning the Leap Attack build, I know it's going to be inconvenient, I tried it before when 2 friends and I recreated the Ancients. I just want to try to make it work, with Berzerk as a 2nd option.
