Question about deaths web

I searched but could not find anything. I guess this is more about the -PS res and its not just on deaths web. So if something has -res and I shoot nova or anything else like that does it work? Does the dmg have to be physical? Do I actually have to hit someone with the wand? This is PvM

No, you don't have to hit anyone with your wand. Yes, it works with nova (and poison explosion if you use it).
