PvP WW... 2 greif vs ebotd/beast

Which combination would be better for general public pvp? I've heard time and time again that grief is awesome but i dont quite understand why...does the +damage calculate differently than +% damage?

Also...does that IAS from beast's fanat. apply to ww because it comes from the weapon?

help me out barb gurus.

Fanat from Beast only improves the damage and AR.

The most common combination is actually GriefZ + BeastZ.

The +Dmg on Grief adds exactly how much dmaage it says, versus say 400% ED which would multiply the weapon damage x4 and add that on. Adding 400 damage straight is amazing because it goes both minimum and maximum generating the best average damage of a 1 handed weapon other than possibly a rare.

Grief also provideds -25% enemy defense, and 20% chance of deadly strike which are 2 key components in dueling other melee chars.

Beastz provides enhanced Grief damage through Fanat, as well as 25% chance open wounds which is also a huge factor in WW duels.

Personally the defensive advantage of Stormshield thoroughly outweighs that of a Beast or other alternative secondary weapon, but thats just my opinion.

as far as greifs damage addition goes that is pretty awesome...how does it show in the dmg column of your C screen? does all the %ED from your skills and Fort and stuff apply to the greif damage?

And isn't it common to use both weapon/stormsheild and 2 weapons depending on the situation??

1. Yes
2. No, shield blows especially in public games. You can't afford to lose half your damage for some protection that wont help vs most opponents anyway. In 1v1 it only really helps to kill other barbs so few people bother with shield setup at all.
