Question About Dupes

Does putting something in a socket of an item that might be a dupe change the likelihood of it poofing?

*Note: Even if you do socket it, it will not be legit. Permed, but not legit.

I'm sorry. To clarify/reiterate: If the item already has a socket (Think CoA), and the socket is full with, say, a Ber. If I were to stick a Jah in, it wouldn't poof?

If the CoA is legit, then it will not poof. If its duped, then consider every day you still have it as a bonus.
