Good place to find a Ko rune

I'm trying to make the runeword Sanctuary in a pally shield. After procuring a suitable 3os pally shield, I went to my mules, and much to my surprise and disappointment, while I have a couple mals, I have just one ko. :shocked: DRAT!

So I'm off to find a Ko, and I'm not sure where the best place to look would be. Hell Countess? Hell Arcane Sanctuary? Other option? Where are my odds going to be the best here?

Bloody hell. I suppose I COULD rush a character for hellforge drops, but that's a bit more work than I'd like. It may be easier to trade forum this thing. Did about 20 Countess runs last night, didn't get better than a Sol.

I think If you offer 15 pgems for a KO on bnet, you'll get one pretty fast.

Nm hf requires running blanks up to it. The others can easily be run repeatedly. Does your ordering account for that? I can run hell countess in about 2 minutes, it takes at least an hour to run a newb up to nm hf.

Actually, I heard you mentioned Mal rune? Since Ko is worth less than Mal, ask for a Ko rune and something else for the mal. Also, I need Ko and Lem so maybe we can do co-op countess runs? My username in D2 is Professordiablo.:coffee:

Interesting.

I'm not certain I trust ATMA's results for the higher settings though - the countess actually drops more runes on lower settings. So I don't see how/why the odds would improve.

But after the trading forums, Hell Countess would be my definite choice of where to run. If you've got a lightning-based sorc (I prefer Nova), you can do ~1 minute runs pretty easily (in single-player I can get it down around 35 seconds with a good/static map and the right build).

My guess would be that ATMA doesn't take into account that the Countess can't drop more than 6 items, while having 8 forced drops if her no-drop is 0%. Since she chooses from her 5 regular item drops first, there would only be 1 rune drop remaining. If ATMA doesn't take that into account, it would explain why it displays chances as higher in 8-player games than in 1-player games.

Ive paid 10 Pgems twice and gotten KO easily.Countess is a good way too because you will get other runes at the same time so you can trade them,runes for spirit can fetch a good GP.
