View Full Version : 2 questions (immun break) and a merc ability
My first quest regards the necromancer mor than others I think, well yeah the sorceress to :P
1.
Necromancer has the ability to break immunities, so I've heard. I have tested both LR and AD om PI's and Elemental resistants but they never took any damage so how do you knopw when you break their immunity?
Followquestion (swe - följdfråga) How much is max for a mob to have in any immunity?
2. How do I know which slvl my merc is use? Can the merc have over 20 slvl in their skills? My though is more torwards act 2 merc might and act 3 iron wolves - freeze.

a third question came up
+ to all fire skills affect the iron wolve with fire skills, right?
1. If you break an immunity the "fire immune" under the name of the monster disappears and it takes fire damage for example. Max monster resist should be something like 150?
im not sure u can look up all the monsters in arreat summit.
Gargoyle traps have the highest immunity I know of. 1000% Cold resist in hell....

1. Lower resist and Amplify Damage work at 1/5 effectiveness for reducing resistances greater than 100% (so Amp only reduces physical resist by 20%, which is actually enough for the large majority of enemies -- most physical immunes only have 100% physical resist, this is not the case for elemental immunities). But if this successfully reduces the resistance to less than 100%, then you've broken the immunity, so to speak. But this doesn't mean they're taking full damage. In fact, more likely than not they're left with some 95% or so resistance, so they're still mostly immune, but they'll take some damage now rather than none. However, also at this point, -% enemy resist from equipment like Griffon's/Facets and Cold mastery on sorcs works (they don't do anything if resistance is still >= 100%).
As Galabab said, if you cast it on the enemy, and the "Immune to fire" or "Immune to physical" under their name disappears, then the immunity is broken, but it doesn't mean they're taking full damage.
2,3. I'm not sure exactly what slvl you're getting on your mercs, but I do believe +skills works perfectly on them.

This is a very handy file to have:
You can get all the stats (life, strength, dexterity, resistances, etc.) per level in the 1.10 Mercenary Stats Excel file (http://wreckernl.homestead.com/files/Diabloiinet/CompleteD2Ver110HirelingStats.zip) which can be downloaded here , hosted by RTB, courtesy of ArchDemonHunter.
+ All Skills work for mercenaries.
+ Fire Skills will boost Inferno, Fire Ball and Fire Arrow.
