Barb Question

So I was playing this morning while trying to wake up for work.

Create my own little game, and am simply running through act2 trying to find something better than this crappy bow I have.

This person joins the game, and I meet them back in town. Its a barb. So we head back out to the Dry Hills or whatever, and all of a sudden I am surrounded by wolves...and a merc. And then there was this worm thing that would come out of the ground and eat whatever the wolves killed.

Anyone explain this to me? It was cool.

That was no barb, that was a druid. They can summon wolves to fight for them and vines that take care of corpses.
