Most of the Mech Warrior series intros are awesome but the Commander one sticks out the most.

Another good one is the intro the Final Fantasy 8.

It's rather silly and completely out of character. What would have been way more normal would be the orks running down, beating the crap out of the marines and then getting wiped out by the drop pod assault.

I (barely) remember playing the game way back when it first came out. Memorable dialogue. Multiple endings, something almost never seen in an adventure game. Great atmosphere. Good stuff.

The blade runner game left alot to be desire. It came on some.. 6? CDs. And took about 45 minutes to get through the whole game.

Also you can only shoot at specific targets. But it's not all bad. For example when you chasse a a bot through the backdoor of a resturant. You can shoot on him if you manage to get a clear shot. When you exit the backdoor you see a guy trying to climb into a dumpster. If you aim at him you can shoot. But if you do it turns out that he is just some homeless guy looking for food and so you dump his corpse into the dumpster. Pretend like nothing happened and then keep chassing the other guy.

You have money in the game. You get paid a sum for each bot you kill which totals to about 3 bots in the whole game. However there is nothing to spend money on anyway except one type of better bullets for your gun.

Also you dont have health or take damage so it's possible you are invulnerable.

Yea, but the game is not focused on shooting stuff anyway, more on the puzzle solving, which I like, I also chose the non-violent approach whenever possible, yea wimpy I know.

I especially liked the photograph analysis thingy with the zooming and rotating. IIRC the game would progress differently depending on the number of clues that you found.

Also, I don't remember about the health points or damage but I remember being killed by the crazy chef guy in an alley way, or the roof of my apartment building, I forget which, so you can definitely die, "definitely" meaning to the best of my memory.

There's an updated engine version of it I believe, don't know about XP specifically though.

But just run DOSBox or ScummVM. Much easier.
