Well, I recently got my hands on two bloodletters and thought, hell it would be fun to be a low level barb whirlwinding around, and then switching and having 75 chance to block and using conc to obliterate the oppositon.
Basically I am wondering, is this idea even viable? If so has anyone here tried this before and if so how did thier character fare? I was thinking that if I did decide to make this barb that I'd put into bo, bc, and shout, and conc, increase speed, natural resistance. I am also wondering, in regards to Conc Barbs what is their weapon of choice usually? Would it be a bad idea to try conc without a 2h weapon? Basically, I know I have few stat points and few skill points at my disposal, so I obviously wish to maximize my life and damage, while at the same time retaining max block.

If anyone has suggestions or know of any guides that have been written, the information would be much appreciated. I've always enjoyed LLD much more then HLD due to the fact that usually the people involved are much nicer on average, and less Bm seems to occur, excluding when someones ego is bruised and they decide to settle things by bringing a different character with a level difference of at least 50 levels.

Thank you for taking the time to view my post. Stay frosty.

LLD conc is strongest melee but I don't know the gear/skill layout.

Well bloodletters are a decent choice for a lld ww barb, but due to range 1 they really limit your ability to duel vs. casters.

Many WW barbs use 1 robo naga (2x shael 4x jewel) to hit 4 frame, and either another robo naga or an Honor Naga (6frame) in off hand. The range is longer and the damage is much higher. However, bloodletters are decent for a starter char.

I would suggesting going for straight WW with your first char. While conc barbs are the kings of lld melee, they need very rare items in order to be effective. High def eth/rep armor, shield, and helm are what make them so powerful. These items can take a very long time to find.

Hmmm, Concentrate does seem extremely appealing. Although I can completely understand your saying to start first with WW. Nevertheless, I enjoy the hunt, I dont think it would be nearly as fun without the difficult task of outfitting and creating. So I guess its just up to me to find godly armor that replenishes itself with 2 sockets and those juicy mods, and then a massive dome protector and a big old shield.

If I may inquire as to what Robo stands for? Never heard that term before.

Much to learn, but that is what keeps it fresh.

Also how does Stun fare in PvP?

Stun is useless.

The skill setup seems pretty straightforward.

For gear I would suggest:

IK Gloves
IK Belt
90-100%ED Ornate
90-100%ED Grim Helm or Grand Crown
90-100%ED Grim Shield of Deflecting
Angelic Ring
Angelic Amulet
Good Rare AR/stat/life amulet
Either Honor Naga or robo naga with 2xshael and 3x ed/max jewel.

These are the basics. Obviously you want to look for additional mods on all pieces and all pieces should be eth/rep if possible. 2os is also a huge benefit on all pieces.

Robo is a "Normal" socketed Weapon pimped out with Runes and/or jewels in a non runeword way >.>.

Ahh thank you for your help. Well, time for me to cow like crazy, magic find like a maniac, and level up my new barb. I appreciate your help guys, I'll post further developments here .. although that most likely will not be for some time to come, thank you again for you help.

Honor Naga (6frame).

Honor Nagas hit at 8 frames, not 6; why (IMO, I know many disagree with me) I'd never use an honor naga on a ww build (honor zwei ftw, though). The range 3, base [-10] or faster weapons are great to use though.

If you're going with whirl (much stronger all-round than conc, and easier to get the gear for),
I'd go honor zweihander (primary)/bletter, unless you have some awesome +ww helm. The range on a zweihander will make it much more damaging than a 2nd bletter when you're whirling.

Make sure you get a hell rush, the extra skills/life/stats/resists are really needed!

Yeah youre right, Naga is 8 frame I don't know why I said 6.

Anyway, I would definately not use a bloodletter on a ww barb. Range 1 is REALLY crappy. You will miss most of your hit checks, and the rest will be at 6 frame.

2x robo Naga is probably best unless you find some nice rares.
