hr's, ubers, and trading questions

hi all noob questions here..
in trading what are considered HR's
and what are these ubers I keep reading about people making builds just for.

do people activly trade any more? for someone like me just coming back after years with nothing is ther any chance of trading for the runes i need and such, im just asking cause after posting several trades with no responce and watching other trades go un answered just wondered if im on my own...

Vex or above are HR's.

Ubers are a set of 3 bosses that drop a torch, a unique large charm, theres a guide somewhere on these forums that give you the whole story for them.

And yes people still trade, getting the keys you use to make ubers are trading them for HR's in a fast way.

Here's the thing. Diablo is an item driven game. You NEED to be able to hunt items in order to get the ball rolling on wealth. While it is possible to find items with frost zealots and ww/barbs (judging from your previous posts), they are far from the most effective mfers, especially untwinked. Basically, the road to riches in this game can be through several avenues but the basics are as follows:
1. Familiarize yourself with the value of items. Watch in game trends, scan the trade threads, whatever you have to do. Any time invested into this will save lots of time in the long run from recovering from bad trades, throwing away great items cause you didn't know, whatever.
2. Hunt for items. Start by running bosses or cows in nightmare, and move onto hell when your gear/power allows.
3. Make bulk tradelists. Single item posts generally don't do well with the possible exception of high end item actions. What are the odds someone wants a particular item your offering as apposed to one of several items?
4. If you are going to trade things of little worth. I.E. Low Runes, Pgems, junk jewels, etc., do it in mass quantities.
5. Keep in mind that trades of single pgem worth like low uniques and crap like that are generally not worth the effort to bother with in forum. Trade those away in pub games or sell that junk to Charsi. The stuff is just too common and no one really needs it. I'm not trying to be a dick, it's just how it is.
My advise is to build a character just for item hunting. Maybe a sorc or necro. There are lots of guides on here for that. Build one and hunt for items. You'll advance in wealth a lot faster than farting around in nightmare with untwinked melee chars that don't have any mf on them.
Then, after you have some wealth built up, build the character that catches your eye.
