View Full Version : Deciding on PvP Fire Sorc Help!
Already got a sorc ready to make a fire build. But since there are so many choices, I would like to know what is better for you guys. Which one is better an ES or Vita? 205fcr or 105fcr?

i went 200fcr/142fhr/vita.
i like it. get owned by bowazons, desy-charging grief wielding pallys (not always, but...) and sorbing BvC's.

200FCR to be different
105Fcr for more damage and overall survival
ES is nice if you can afford the good stuff.
I went 105fcr/86fhr/pure vital with stormshield.

200fcr builds are more expensive right?

So 105fcr max block fire sorc is good?

So 105fcr max block fire sorc is good?
105 FCR with max block is good if you are going sanctuary or whitstans or another low req block but not stormshield.
I only used stormshield and had +dext items so I had about 45-50% block with 35%dr and resists.

Could max block be achieved with a Spirit? In case i wanna switch to 200Fcr. Should I use a memeory staff to save points in es?

Could max block be achieved with a Spirit?
only if your prepared to spend a truly crippling amount of points in Dex in order to achieve it. i really wouldn't reccomend it. besides, Chilling Armour blocks the occasional ranged attack and Shiver Armour blocks the occasional Melee attack. much preffered options for a spirit user.

yes. for an ES/FB sorc i would advise the following skill-placement:
max: telekinesis, firebolt, fireball, meteor
1 point: teleport, warmth, chilling armour (better idea is to get Chilling armour as an extra staffmod on your Memory Stick)
spares to Fire Mastery.
skip skilling ES altogether. you'll need to prebuff your ES quite heavily, but you'll have a decent damage output.

I found a staff with shiver armor cant find one with chilling. I also heard that 105 fcr 75% block 1.5k life 5k mana 95% es 86 fhr is the best build anyone got a guide for it?

is for a 200/86 FCR sorc, with various options but it could be easily adapted to a 105 setup.
Spirit != max block. At level 85 you need 319 dex to hit max block. Not worth it at all.
To build the sorc you are looking for, you need *very* good charms and specific pieces of high end gear. And don't forget the pre-buff memory stick.
