How can u get 40 ES??

Im doing a Light sorc for pvp.. but I dont know how to get 40 ES...
help me plz

torch + anni + 9lite skillers = +13 sorc Skills add to that hoto(3) maras(2) spirit monach(2) sojx2(1 each) and rare FCR +2 sprc skill ammy and circlet/tiara/diadem (4) arach (1) and armor (1~2) youll have plenty of fcr for the 117break point for lightning; lots of mana; for a whopping ammount ~47 ES

It would actually be more beneficial to get a staff with +3 ES and 4os and make a memory runeword out of it to get a whopping +9 to ES, which is better than the 5 you would get from hoto/spirit.

memory - 9
ammy - 2
helm - 2
armor - 2
rings - 2
belt - 1
inventory - 13
BC - 1

Total - 32 to ES which brings to a whopping 52!!!! if the skill is maxed.

So by going this route, you only have to put 8 hard points into ES to get the maximum value because after 40, it doesn't absorb more than 95%.

Ain't it possible to have a +3 circlet and a +3 ammy for prebuff? Sounds like too much hassle, until you remember the tremendous duration of the ES at level 40: 40 minutes. That allows you to spend 2 less hard points and dump them in, say, Charged Bolt

I used a skill calculator, and assumed a pure lightning sorc with +34 prebuff gear for ES and somewhat less for normal gameplay. The results were sick(test it out for yourself).

Yes, forgot about 3 to lightning tree helm and ammy. So that is a total of 34 to ES. You can get a stupid high ES with only 1 Hard point into it. Although, technically, wouldn't you be able to get a lvl 34 ES then without putting a single point into it due to the fact that your Memory staff has a +to ES mod on it for the base item and the runeword itself? That would save a lot on skill points. However, if you wanted to get that magic number of 40, then hard points are required.

If you are playing as a light sorc you wont need to max Es to get to lvl 40 (95%). You WILL want to of course max telekinesis. My light sorc, with a +9 es staff (not too difficult to find a +3 staff if you keep checking), and the other usual stuff (sojs, etc, etc, torch, anni, etc) only has 10 hard points into es and gets 95%, or lvl 40. This way she can save points otherwise spent maxing a skill that caps at lvl 40 anyhow, and can use those saved stat points for more dmg. Ofc if you are NOT a lightning sorceress its usually best to max Es as well, unless you dont mind major prebuffing, ie: 9x light skill gcs etc etc. :smiley:

As a lightning sorceress you have the luxury of getting a high lvl es, as has been pointed out, without needing to max it. You could potentially put as little as 5 points in if you wanted to, and still have near perfect absorbtion rate. ^ ^.
