Can't Access my old Saves!

Hi Everybody!

I'm new to this forum and I hope I'm not posting a question that is already answered elsewhere.

Here's my problem, I have reinstalled my windows and i saved my old saves in a folder on a cd. Now that I have reinstalled windows, and Diablo II, I can't access these files anymore. I've put them in the new Save Folder but when I start LOD the Character window is empty. What has happened? I would really like to be able to play my old characters, but how do I get it to work again?

Make sure the versions are both the same. My guess is that you had your old saves on version 1.11b or something and you still haven't patched yet. If this is the case, you just need to patch your game.

I don't know if it is possible to have saves that are too old, but you never know.
