ES Shield in Hardcore?

Is Es needed when building a vita sorc Metoer/Orber?

I ask because I hate to waste the points to get ES if i dont need with 2 tree build.

On a Meteorb I tend to go without as it is an offensive build in which you want to squeeze all the points into synergies and you can deal damage in all areas (fire, cold and for dual immunes use Static and Merc placement) but it is really up to you as a playstyle...diverting points from synergies to ES and it's synergies will lead to a slightly weaker Meteorb build that usual though...

I have always thought that relying on ES was a bad idea because of mana burners.

Swap a staff in with ES on it so you don't have to spend the skill points.

ES without full TK synergy = not worth bothering with.
