It's a great game but I really didn't like playing it on the xbox.

It is a great game. If I didn't have it already (and my 360 didn't have the Red Ring of Death ), I would buy it.

Yeah, its still marked as $60, but it will ring up for $20.00.
At least mine did, and i read this all over the internet and it rings up as $20.00 all over the country.
I guess ill go try it out now.

I just beat the first boss.
So far its an okay game, it isnt bad in any way, but its horribly overrated (so far at least). Its like every other FPS, except much slower paced, terrible guns, terrible enemies, and you have different elemental powers.
Again im not far, but its not amazing.
6/10 so far. Well worth the $20 though, i know once i beat this ill sell it for more.
First class game on PC anyway.
The evil ending is pretty cool and the good ending is surprisingly sweet and a real tear jerker.
Don't really get how people can put up with console controllers in an FPS.

Me neither. Though golden eye on N64 worker pretty good with that R aim button.
GoldenEye/Perfect Dark had a workable setup, but I still think those games would be ten times easier if I could use a keyboard/mouse setup instead.
Yeah thats true. Plus that little joystick was like sandpapper on the thumb after awhile.
The auto aim feature in golden eye helped alot too. It was'nt as obvious as the doom vertical auto aim but it helped make up for the poor aiming you did when moving around.

Though PC mouse/keyboard is way easier, i just got used to controllers. I never had a top notch PC so i barely ever had any FPS games to play, so everything i played was on a console.
Its really not that bad. In fact i personally think some games are easier on console, because if they have a bunch of additional buttons, its much easier to select them by just tapping a button you're used to on the controller, versus picking out a key on the keyboard.
And i hated the Goldeneye/Perfect Dark layout lol, i got used to it eventually but it was was terrible for the first little while.

After a long play session it was rough, but I always liked the N64 controller, especially when playing Starfox.
I'll tell you something that always pissed me off about both the N64 and PS dualshock controllers, why didn't they just put a simple switch somewhere on the thing so you could switch between the directional pad and the thumbstick? That way all old PS games could've used the new dualshock sticks (which were so much easier on your thumbs), you just could've switched the controller over and it wouldn't know the difference. And sometimes I felt like switching my left hand position on the N64 controller, but hardly any games seem to use the directional pad for anything.

I switched my layout to one of the others, I think in Goldeneye it was called "Kissy". That's another thing, preset key configs (like, four of them) instead of being able to assign your buttons manually... annoying.
I got used to controllers too, but no matter how accustomed you are you can never match the accuracy and reaction time of kb/mouse.

Nor I. I tried playing Unreal Tournament when the PS2 first came out and that was not all that fun. FPS games really need a keyboard and mouse. Or maybe some sort of VR setup to control the head movement...the looking/aiming was what I found most unpleasant.

Sure, FPS games are a lot easier on the PC, but the controls feel more "heavy" on consoles. And I think the heavy feeling works better on slower FPS games. Playing Counter-Strike with a controller is just stupid, while games like Halo, F.E.A.R. and heck even Morrowind excels when played using a controller.

You get used to it. That's the only way I know how to put it.

Ha, I don't respect your opinion of Bioshock.
What was the first boss anyway? Dr Steinberg?

I just got past the second boss.
Still the same feelings, not a bad game in any way. But very very overrated.

I havent played it for 2 days, but the farther i go, its more of the same thing.
Pretty good game, but not as great as everyone says.
Reminds me of an underwater Fallout game.

I didn't really like BioShock that much either, it wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't as good as people made it out to be.

I don't know, I was sucked in by the Ayn Rand storyline that was going on. The combat does get redundant after a while, but by the time that happened, I was so interested in what was going to happen next story-wise that I didn't really care anymore.

I'm definitely not feeling you there, but to each his own, I suppose. It was by far the most fun I had with a non-sports/non-rhythm game in '07. I guess it's just not everyone's cup o' tea. If you didn't like System Shock 2, you wouldn't like Bioshock.
The atmosphere, story and overall feel of the game was fantastic, IMO.

I just beat Bioshock, my opinion still stands for the most part.
Not a bad game at all, but nothing amazing, it has its unique features that were very cool, but other than that its really average. I liked the way the story was told, but now i think its awful, because its hard to listen to your radio when theres like 4 or 5 things going on. The guns were eh, i only used one basically, and the others i would ONLY use if i ran out of ammo. I got tired of facing the same 2 enemies the whole game.
Overall its like an 8/10. Good, but doesnt stand out in any way at all.
Glad it was only $20 for me, now to seal it up and return it to Wal-Mart for $60 and get a different game lol.

Wha? There's a button right between the analog sticks that does just that. I think they work for all of my PS1 games except for maybe Return Fire.
Didn't work for me on games that predated the dualshocks, eg Wing Commander III, FFVII and a few others. I figure it's a software switch rather than a hardware one.

I can't play a FPS with a controller. Your responses are just too slow compared to a mouse.
Another thing that bugs me is how retarded Mechassult is with a controller. To simplified.
