well i had a thought about a char.. i know theres a problem somewhere. or this would be psyco:
armor 4 bers: 32 DR
string of ears: 15 DR
shield 4 bers: 32 DR
COA 2 BER: 31 DR

a total of 110% damage reduced... leaving the guy invincible.. :shocked:

in the current patch, the %dr is capped at 50.

but no cap on integer dr =)

if your aiming for max dr% i would suggest a stormshield (35%) instead of a 4 ber'd shield (32%)

Stormshield + string can already give you the max of 50%

Shield: Stormshield+Ber=43%
Armor: Shaftstop+Ber=38%
Helm: CoA+2Ber=31%
Belt: String/Verdungo's 15%
Gloves: Steelrends=10%
Weapon: Crainte Vomir=10% (needs a barb to wield it with a shield)

That makes 147%. Overstacking works to counter curses and it's nearly enough to be at 50% while being amped. However, there are obviously too many drawbacks.

I once heard about a rumor that there is no DR cap with respect to damage from iron maiden, but AFAIK that's wrong. You can try it with a cheap 100+% setup like Storm+Shaft+String+Gaze.
