I play in WEST cl,nl and i HAD a gfg sorc set it included.... shard,eyeless,rhv,rbsh,wc,vcord,dtrack,bloops,and magefist. that took a lot of sojs to get. if i count up the total # of soj it cost was 27soj to get it again. i was xfering my item to a new sorc since my old one was messed up. i didnt do any cs runz and i didnt leave and join games really fast.I was just goining to 1 game then leaving and coming bak.I got realmed for who knows how long b-cause i still am realmed.usually i get realmed twice a day.5min long...im used to it.i go to single player and do an andy run with my barb.then i get bak on.i waited and waited and it never let me bak on. i went to open bnet to talk to my friend that was helping me xfer. he lagged out after like 30min of waiting. I know he would take any of my **** or lie about it because he is my bro. so i hav no idea when ill be able to get bak on....and probably b-cause of that ill quit D2:cry::cry::cry::cry: .... can any1 cheer me up?

Sorry for your loss man. I'm sure everyone here has lost something to the dreaded realm down at least once, but look at the bright side.
Now you have a good reason to get back on the mf horse, which is what d2 is really all about.

I think you did your realm a favor by removing those dupes. Please read the "advocating dupes not allowed" section of the rules. Those things are not GG imho.
Now you can get off to a clean start and play legit.

well your right,but how do u know if they r dupes or not? i know some of the items i hav r dupes but i dont know all of them. i want to be "legit" but its hard for me to get items since my mf luck sucks. if i can be legit and still kill in PVP that would be great.but it seems like the people who use dupes and 3rd person programs just demolish in everything and it sorta ruins the game if you r legit, so it makes you want to get dupes to beat them... oh and ill read the "advocating dupes not allowed" section of the rules.... : )

Each and every one of these are "known" dupes. How do I know? I've had at least one of each of these at one time or another.

Playing ladder is the fastest way to get around the problem of people getting an advantage from the accessibility of dupes. Of course, playing non-ladder still doesn't mean you have to use dupes to win duels. You just need to spend a couple weeks to a couple months (depending on the character you want to make) building up a decent inventory of items and then win the duel by being a better duelist.

I find when people start naming rares by their name rather then their stats usually is a good clue that they are duped, let alone abbriviations of the said names.
To further increase your chance of avoiding dupes, there are dupelists available, one on this site aswel :

Mind you, it's your own choice wether or not you get/use dupes, that is not my concern, it's when you post about them here that it becomes my concern. :)
A small sidenote about the "they're using it, that makes me want to get them too", if those people all quit their jobs/education to play more Diablo for higher levels, would you do that aswel to be able to compete ? :)

If the game was still up I would post a thread on a certain other trading forum (in the classic or exp trading section[always someone on]), and pick the most trustworthy person who replies, to join your game.

Like warlockcc said, its easy to surmise that you are speaking of dupes, since you stress the names of rares...
You could start ladder. Less dupes and no über godly items with properties that just can't drop anymore. Only 3rd party programs :largeevil:

Truthfully, this is the safest way to transfer (using trade screen between yourself). With your admitted problem of getting locked out often, I would thiink transferrring items one at a time may have offered more opportunity to lose an item or two. However you wouldn't have lost them all.

x2 for those new to trusting me I offer up that they if they are at all nervous about me holding items for them, that I will sit in a certain act, and they can choose an anonymous wp in some other act to drop their items on.
if one does do this in a public game, please at least move a good way away from the wp before dropping the item, for god's sake don't be partied with somone when you go there, and don't use the more commonly mf'ed or questneed wp's such as cat's two, stoney, inner cloister, arcane, travincal, etc.
I was doing a viz/infector seal raid in a public trade game and saw someone LOL at finding a soj, and a socked bone shield sitting directly on a wp...

it's not hard to be legit on softcore whatsoever. there are numerous guides on how to get wealthy quickly, and easily using cheap/common gear.
every ladder reset there are gaps between the "haves and have nots" cause some people simply lack the willpower to build/create proper mf characters.
from fredsta's cowazon build for useful uniques and set items, to ray's publishing of the mephy glitcher (which I have to confess has caused much grief over the increased number of glitchers) to simply exploiting the lord quest in cs runs.
non-ladder is for the most part 2x as dead as ladder - which is also dead.
I am the first to admit that I'm a mediocre player. I don't use the common hacks like autojuvs, autoaiming, pickit, etc. I quit at the end of summer.
I restarted a couple of months ago (just before Christmas). Probably will quit again here soon. Anyway in my first 3 weeks back I had already mf'ed 5 sojs worth of gear and one actual soj. I should point out that my return was on a fresh/new account, with no /f list - I wanted a tiny bit more challenge of having to "go it alone" rather than relying upon chant/rush etc...
at this point HC would hold more appeal to me, if there were only two changes:
a) more freaking games to play on
b) there was no lag
the game while addicting, and cathartic also is more easily losing its appeal/lustre these days. :embarassed:
