Little help on Ladder Character

I have seen people creating runewords like insight, spirit, obedience etc and i wonder how do i create ladder character that enable me to make those runewords?

When i create a character on sp, i have only 2 boxes to click on which are expansion or hardcore.

It's not possible on single-player, you have to play on the battle.net realms to create ladder characters.

Ladder refers to online only on Battle.net.

However that said you can use "ladder only" runewords in Single Player. You will need a mod, one that is accepted by the SP community here so it's safe to link to. The mod is generally referred to as the RWM (http://www.twilightdesert.com/d2/mods.html). If you go to the SPF in the stickies are more links with installation hints for this mod if you get stuck.

This mod only allows runewords in SP and won't affect non-ladder online characters.

I have installed RWM and setup according to the instruction. I tried to make a cheap runeword like edge but still couldnt make any Ladder only runewords in single player. :sad2:

And you didn't try to make the runeword in a blue (magical) item or in a item with more sockets than are needed for the recipe?

No, it's white with the correct number of sockets. I have experiences in making non-ladder runewords like crescent moon and delirium, so i wouldnt have make this kind of mistake.

Perhaps i'm just not fated to make ladder runewords.

I use it so I know it works. What do your "Start In" and "Target" fields say under Properties of the shortcut?

You should probably PM that to me, we aren't supposed to give tech help on mod using publicly in threads.
