HoO or HoW for fury? I plan to use faith merc so i will have some increased dmg. Is faith merc a good choice? Or should i use beast and get might merc?

HoW depends on wether your build is for PvP or PvM, although most of the time oak sage is always better.

i like the idea of a faith merc, but if you're simply looking for whats best an act 2 merc is better (like it is for everyone unfortunately)

I think you've played barbs too much cause beast is a horrible weapon to use on a druid (if thats what you're suggesting) Too slow (no the fanta aura doesnt help) and the damage is pathetic.

yeah i meant to say Oak Sage or HoW. this would be for pvm. also i have used beast as a switch wep for my necro and the fanat seems to help alot, but it's no good for a druid eh?

Use Ribcracker. Not better weapon for shapeshifters in PvM.

beast is too slow for a druid to use, the dmg/ias it gives is pathetic
get an act 2 might merc and if u want more dmg, use pride for conc
i almost always use Oak, the +125% life or 800ish more dmg when ur doing 8k...hmm lol
and upp'd shael ribby is great for pvm

nope it's not. what works for a necro probably wont work for a druid. only ias on the weapon (fanta aura's dont count) will speed you up in most cases.

OK I still want to use faith merc, forget about beast and use a ribcracker.....
I would love to see a fury druid do 8k dmg!! what's your setup like? Any other weapons i should use? (i dont have a ribby yet) but he's only lvl 20 right now so i'll do some searching in the mean time. thanks

Unless your lvl of shape shift is extremely low, otherwise only the IAS on your weapon matters.

The other common weapons I have heard of are BotD and tomb reaver.

For PvM , go pure offensive : HoW, Might merc / with Pride etc... more fun to play.
Go with big dmg 2 hander. ( up rib is awesome, ebotd gp, 3 soc tomb reaver etc ... )

Unless it's hardcore.

I agree with Zigot_HD, max damage. Get life from charms. You can easily get 4K to 5K life even with HoW, so to me more is just pointless for PvM. If you have that much life and get killed, you have bigger issues.

I've never needed HoW pvm to kill anything on a shifter. I only use it on summoners to help their AR, never mine.

HoO... erhm, I mean Oak sage is the best for both PvP and PvM imo. As Animage said, HoW is good for summoners.

HoW is great also for softcore PvM wolfs/bears. It will seriously speed you up and you don't really die as long as you have enough vita.

HoW can of course be used, but I've always loved Oak most. I love to have a huge lifepool. It's very rarely that I've hard to hit monsters or my damage is to low with my fury/rabies druid (only use fury with it in PvM).

I don't know so much about bears though, maybe they do better with HoW.

bears dont really need it either with shockwave
only time ive used it is with summoners to help out minions

I prefer HoW on my wolf because I have somewhat of a dex problem, and it helps improve my damage by quite a bit, and also my AR. My chance to hit the average monster in a Players 8 game increases about 5-8% with HoW. Not much, but every bit counts.

I should also note that I have absolutely no trouble staying alive. The damage increases leech which increases my chance to survive. Since I work more on raw damage than on Crushing Blow, My leech is tremendous.
