Really Noob Question

So I'm pretty much used to playing MMROPGS like MapleStory, where the guides detail out what level to add what. However in D2 the guides just list skills like:

20 FO
1 Static
20 Tele
etc

Does this mean I add in order starting with FO and make my way to tele?

Not necessarily, in fact I'd say most of the time skill points are listed out like that, it's just as a final skill allocation of what that build would have at max. Often, later in the guide, the writer will give recommendations on what order to add the skill points.

If you're unsure, sometimes it'll be somewhat obvious. Like for a blizzard sorc, you're going to want to max blizzard first, etc., but... with lower skills often being synergies it may not be so obvious. If you're ever unsure, you can post a question about the best order in which to advance skills, and usually get a good response.

just add the skills when you can, youll need to put atleast 1 pt to pre req skills and have a high enough lvl, then find or trade for gear to finish the build

ex. to put points to teleport, you need to be atleast lvl 18 and have atleats 1 pt to telekenisis
