Ok, I think I wanna do this. Yes I'm not sure... O well here goes.

I've been playing Diablo 2 LOD for a few years on and off now, in that time I've made a few chars and have accumulated quite a bit of wealth. Now I'm not saying it's getting really boring, but it is getting a little boring. I know how to get decently rich, have fought the ubers (Only 2 times, I discovered the pay off really doesn't, if you know what I mean) and I've even met Uber Diablo (He came along last week in a keyrun, I was so excited). Now I feel like trying something different, so that's where PvP comes in.

What I would like to know is what is a good Character to start my PvP career with. I've browsed through some of the builds and a few seem like fun, also I've heard about a few builds that seem like fun. I'll just state a few facts about me so you know what I'm looking for and what char might fit me.

- I'm not a very skilled player (I've only build cookie cutters). Really I suck quite a bit and die way too often. I know PvP doesn't seem to be a very wise choice then, but I hope through PvP I can gain some more skills and unlock another part of the game.
- I'm not super rich. Like I said I've got quite a bit of wealth, but I'm not drowning in HR's and RW's like Enigma, Grief, BotD.
- I would like not to build a Pala. I build a bone/summoner instead of using the equipment for a Hammerdin, because there are already too many Hammerdins
- I was thinking of starting LLD because: 1. Not everyone will be wearing Enigma 2. It will be marginally cheaper (No enigma).
- A few chars/build I'm considering: 1. Assassin Kicker (Kicking sounds sweet) 2. Necro Bone (Necro's are kinda cool) 3. Some Druid build (NEVER had a Druid before)

Well there you have it. I hope you can put me on the right track here, also ANY tips are welcome.

PS. I am on Europe Ladder

PS2. I once made a WWS which was a little PvP oriented, but never really played with her

Well...

I'd tell you to make a 31 Fury wolf. Technically this is one level to high for lld, but most dont seem to mind, at least not in pubbies. This build has tons of life, good ar and good damage. They even do well against the most common lld, the charger pally.

20 lycath
about 5 in WW , (enough to get about 3-4K ar before HOW)
rest in how
1 in summons like raven and spirit wolves (breaks up zeal/fury, makes you harder to target)
and Fury of course, 2 points.

Helm
Best is some skiller Pelt with max'ers
The rest of us use Pcrown. (1 skill, life, frw for those pesky caters!)

Armor: Peace armor , preferbly eth and cube socketed for extra defense.
(yaay critical!)

Jewelry: Angelics , 1 soj would be mint!

Wep: Eth Ribby +1, Shealed eth naga. If you've alot of max damage charms and jewels then a Coldsteel with a ias jewel or sheal hits 5fpa followup

Boots: Sanders
Gloves Bloodfists
Belt: Strong of ears , Death sash

Stash: keep Death sash for the cbf or a spirit shroud armor. Against really hard melee use a rockstopper

Switch Eld'd whitans guard , spirit sword. Prebluff and max block

I've gone the Eth ribby route and have gotten many ears with this char. Good fun to be hard and is pretty well rounded. A quick feral charge allows your to catch most casters :)

I went the ribby route

So there is one lld idea for you , have fun :)

Ps , the game getting "old" happens to many of us. Try switching to Hardcore play, keeps things fresh with death looming over your head.

Oh , here's a link to the best ever lld wolf guide I've ever seen :

Although as a point of critique, If you dont have lots of good charms (max damage/life) then skip the sheal'd naga, I think it requires to muchh str to use and your damage will be low again without the charms and jewels.
