So uhh someone told me to post this here, but what items should i get for a classic sorc and where should i get them?

Best thing is to read trough the Builds and FAQ sticky and start off with a Glitch sorc(a sorc which can't get to act 4 Hell and only kills Mephisto in a game where you cannot get the quest).

someone probably saw you wearing typical "nub" gear such as full sig, or worse an rcage and carrying a staff and suggested you do some reading before remaking your next course.

It depends on your play-style, and what kind of sorc you want.

Want a glitch sorc? Check the build guides. An MF sorc can also be fun, but there's no good guide for that. I have a lot of luck just running around in Flayer and in Act2 open areas.

Never plan to leave nightmare? You can have a ton of fun with a staff-wielding lightning sorc. Staff of Lazerus works well and is easy to find.

Want a fire sorc instead of an orb sorc like everyone else? Hellplague sword will give you +2 skills, and people will love you for killing those cold-immunes.

I'm not giving your expert advice here, as some of the real experts can attest. Just saying there are a lot of fun ways to play a sorceress, and a lot of equipment they can use.

Actually, at the core of your advice you advocate to have fun and play the way one wants to play. To me, that sounds like somebody who understands the game better then most people. Thus, also an expert. :)

if u want to be a fireball sorc get a shard,tarn,garb,eyeless,x2 10fcr rings w/res,+2 ammy w/ fcr and res,hotspurs,magefist,and hmmmm.for a belt i would say nightsmoke.thats basic sorc gear.u can get those by just trading.the only expensive things would be the ammy, and rings. the rest u can get by trading sig and stuff like that.

if u want to be a mf sorc get this. goldwrap,pnagels30%mf,3soc topaz helm,tanc ammy and chest,gull,mila orb,pchances 40%mf,and 25%mf boots.that equals 425mf and is the most u can hav unless u hav those 30something dupe mf boots.

if u want to be a blizz sorc get the same exept get a +2sorc +3blizz staff and take out the shield and shard because blizz doesnt req fcr.and u can take out the gloves for w/e u want really.

and if u want to make a chanter get silks,2 soj,tarn,+2sorc +3enchant staff,magefist,+2sorc ammy,and u dont need a belt or boots since ur only goin to be chanting people.

should note that's max dmg for each - not "average". isn't one of the big reasons why lightning is generally not considered viable is that the damage is 1-8989239823409823745 for the entire tree in classic?
