I've been scouring the web looking for information on this skill... the link here in your stategy forum leads to a page that actually has no information about it. I tried seach but no relevent threads popped up. Can anyone explain what ITD actually does? I'm asuming it makes things easier to hit?

Why I ask is, I'm trying to save a few bucks on my ladder Hybrid Zon this season so I'm thinking about using a Jah'd Windforce instead of a Faith. Is this a good idea? WF is working great with just sheal but in act 4-5 Hell my chance to hit is stupid low, even with 400dex etc.

Any help??

Does what it says, it basically makes it so you have 95% chance to hit any non champion/unique enemy. Doesn't work against uniques or champions.

How many points do you have in Penetrate?

Keep the shael, save the jah for making a faith blade/great bow to give your merc. Max penetrate, wear 2 high ravenfrosts, get a few levels and you'll be fine.

The entire to-hit calculation is skipped, including the 95% cap, so the chance to hit is 100%. It doesn't bypass blocking, however.

You don't need penetrate if you have a Faith bow or a bow with Jah. For tough bosses better use GA which always hits anyway. The only problem might be PIs, but Atma's Scarab will solve that problem. Until amp triggers (which happens very quickly when fighting ghosts, as they stack over each other, so each strafe arrow hits all of them if pierce is at 100% with Razortail), your valk has to hold the position, so max valk - it will make her nearly immortal and you will have more than enough skill points anyway. For unbreakable PIs, use magic arrow. I suggest to have it at a skill level, so that you regenerate mana quicker than it gets depleted. It also needs no arrows, so you can also use it when you run out of them and you don't want to leave the scene for some reason. You will still have more than enough skill points for LF, just don't invest too much into D/A/E. When further points just yield a 2% bonus, stop spending points for them.

In the last season I had a Faith+Fortitude strafe/LF hybrid who could do Baal minion runs solo with just a valk (and 1 point decoy to distract the Bal minions long enough to get the valk involved) and no merc (dies too often when fighting OKs), by running to the throne room without teleportation and killing everything on the way except for PI succubi and other particularly nasty enemies.

The problem with LF is that it will get you disconnected quite often on bnet, so a hybrid might not pay off. You don't really need a hybrid to visit Baal minions. That would mean that you can afford to max penetrate, so WF+shael with max penetrate (which I'm using in this season) is good enough as well.

You are right, I confused something here. ITD sets the enemy defense to 0 which reduces the to hit procedure to a level comparison (being 2*AL/(AL+DL) with AL being attacker level, DL being defender level), still being subject to the 95% cap. If your level is at least the enemy's level, you will hit 95% of the time. It doesn't work at all versus bosses.

Works wonders if you equip your merc with "Reapers Toll" and let him poke some on the PI. If it still doesn't break you could have a Lightning Bolt switch to handle them.(Titans / SS or whatever you see fit)

It's very rare with monsters that has both an unbreakable PI(decripify even) and LI. (Don't have the numbers but I haven't seen more then a handful so far playing my zon)

(That was my input on Krischan's sidestep :) )
