[L] LLD fire sorc question

Hi

I recently made a LLD fire sorc (lvl30) and I really like here. Here's my gear -

Peasant Crown w/ Pruby
Vipermagi w/ Pruby
2fire/10fcr/minor mods ammy
Spirit sword
Vicertaut w/ Eld
String of ears
Magefists
2x SoJ
Cow kings boots
1x 5fhr sc
1x Res all gc
Loads of 15life scs

She is max block with 600+ life and ~400 mana and 75 all resists.

Skills -
1 Telekenisis
1 Teleport
1 Warmth
1 Fire mastery
Max fire ball for the lvl
Rest into fire bolt for synergy

My main problem is I keep running out of mana during long duels. I then have to keep running around and dodging till I have enough mana to shoot more fire balls. So what is the best place for me to get more mana or better mana regen? Should I socket armour and helm with pskulls instead of prubies? Any other suggestions?

Also what should I use on my switch? Should I use some kind of frozen armour granting item? Or is it possible to hold a infinity scythe/voule?

An insight pole on switch is popular for lvl 30 lld builds. You could make this in a cedar staff with +shiver armour ieally. Pskulls are probably a bad idea. You have 10 fcr more than is useful so a new amu with +mana (I think you can get +80) may be good. Replacing some life scs with life/mana scs (12/15) is perf) can only help. Improving your hat for a nice circlet would be ideal but that's going to be expensive.

use pskulls in your gear for mana/life regen/replen. also tele less and walk more. you should have posted this in the pvp forum too, btw. it'd have gotten a bit more response probably. other than that just slowly change your plain 15 lifers to 15life/mana charms. you could also use a couple grand charms with mana and life. they'll have less life, but more mana per slot than a sc. get rid of the res all gc and if you really need the res go with diamond in the shield instead of eld.

perhaps a fireBOLT build? 2 mana/cast is miserly and damage is comparable to fireball.

i don't see how a lvl 30 sorc can use an infinity.

I mean insight .. lol. Thanks for the comments guys. I've found many duellers who are okay with mana pots. Now my main problems seems to be hammerdins .. any ideas on how to negate/absorb hammer dmg?

Not worth sacrificing the +skills to lower magic damage.
I would say to duel more defensively or something

Hammer damage cannot be absorbed.

^not true, unless you actually mean fully absorbed.

However between spirit (<= 8 sorb), viper (<= 13 mdr) and string (<= 15 mdr) you've got as much 'magic' dr as you're realistically going to get, give or take a couple. Up to about 45 in effect.

btw I meant chilling armour on the staff not shiver armour - chilling is the anti-ranged one and is far more useful, does more than it specifies in the skill description.

Firebolt does about a 3rd the damage of fireball at level 30, a bit less iirc.

So your saying that firebolt does less damage theb fireball? cause im in the middle of making a lld fire sorc and im using:
Weapon:Insight
Armor:Vipermagi
Gloves:Magefists
Ring#1:Soj
Ring#2:10 fcr and mana regen
Boots:none yet
Amulet:none yet
Helm:none yet
Belt:none yet
And i have nothing on switch.
im only lvl 14 atm still trying to lvl and all my gear is required lvl 20+

But i dont know wut skill to use fireball or firebolt im looken for the most damage.
