Herro. I am using a PvM Wind Druid. First question I should ask is Enigma really the best choice for PvM? PvP sure, but what about CoH or Fort?
Either way, what's the best armor to put Enigma in?

Yes, mobility > survivability. Also, you have CA to make up the loss of res.

any light armor, from bp/mp/dusk/ap, low str, so u lose less stat points for vit

Nigma is a must, without it you never get anywhere in a timely fashion. as verashiden says, you got CA, use it. Ap is my choice since it is semi-low str and nice defense (you need 156 or something for a spirit shield) and the nigma will get you 50 points to str. again i don't know what shield you plan on using

you dont _need_ enigma, especiallly if the price just isnt obtainable. The last windy I made used a ViperMagi quite well until Later on in the season when I went back to remake him pvp.

YES!!! I'm working on a wind druid atm which is lvl 65.. he wear REALLY craps... For armour he use Viper 26% which works great, I'm chaosing in NM atm (planing on going to hell soon..), and I DON'T THINK WIND DRUIDS NEED ENIGMA TO BE EFFECTIVE! If you absolute need the 2+all skills, make a rain armour.:wink3:

Nigma isn't "necessary" however, it's the top end choice no matter how you look at it.

you dont _need_ enigma,
but you're faaaarrr better if you use it. although a tele'less windy would be harder/fun to play ;p

I merely speak from experience of being too poor to afford an enigma yet wanting to play the class of the character i want.
Some of us _do_ play the game and not just pimp out everything I make. Outside of a few times, alot of my pvm builds use just regular stuff I find and can get myself.
We're talking PVM here. You don't need 23 Hr's and godly equipment drops to have fun and kill stuff. Every time I see a tal's sorc or infinity using light sorc die PVM'ing, I die a little on the inside. I remember being a lvl 91 orb/firewall sorc using spirit sword, stealth armor, pcrown and doing things just fine, without godly gear. It's almost like these items are crutches to some people.
Imo every build is more enjoyable to play when highly mobile.

Doesn't change the fact that Enigma is still the top end choice. Whther you use it or not is a completely different matter.
IMO Enigma is a must for an effective wind druid build. The advantage to tele-ing on top of a group of souls or knights without then getting a shot off sure beats walking up to them and taking a few hits or losing your merc to IM. That being said a Windy can be played without it. I currently have a 93 Windy on hardcore ladder.

I'm not saying that it's not the single best armor for a wind druid, I know that it is. I was just countering the point of all the posts, such as Azwype's comment, that it is needed.
Enigma makes things 95 times easier, but in no way is it necessary. That's all I was trying to say.
I use Aldurs right now and a lotta inertia charms heh... if you're just PvM who cares, I run super fast and at least this way I make sure I hit every room and clean up everything old school style  Do whatever you want, I think you know what enigma offers doesn't take that much imagination, just do you care to tele or not.
Speaking of which, I have to brag here... I logged on for 5 min with my lvl 76 druid and guess what I find from nm Shenk lol
shoot... photobucket's shut down for maintenance.. danm you! ok, guess I'll have to wait when I get back from work:cry:
