about max damage jewels and charms

It might be a silly question , but bear with me since i have not been into this kind of stuff. Due to the many threads lately about lld jewels and stuff , this question grew into me.

About max damage jewels , that you place int armor slots , as well as max damage charms , in which part of the damage equation fit into? i mean , if your weapons damage is 20 - 40 , and your total damage after i.e fanaticism 40 - 80,
placing a 15 max jewel into a slot ( any slot ) , the max damage added goes to the pre aura damage or to the final damage? Where can i find more info about this? i checked arreat summit without any results:sad2:

Min/maxdmg bonuses are applied after on-weapon %ed and before off weapon %ed (str/dex, skills, auras, non-weapon equipment). That means, min/maxdmg bonuses get boosted by auras.
