Anyone ever log in to find their char dead? Just came back to the game - again, can't seem to stay away for too long. Anyway, had a lvl 42 pally and a mule on an account, logged in today and the pally was dead. Mule untouched. I definitely logged out the other day with him alive, and no one else has access to acct.

I can't imagine there are bugs that can cause this - are there people out there breaking into accounts and killing chars (still)? I didn't have a particularly difficult password, but I didn't think it was really necessary. I don't have quite the stable of characters and mules anymore.

You would serve yourself better not mentioning your botting around here, a few of us have the power to kill you through the INEt for being a pathetic POS!

You're not being very forgiving STINGER.

Have I ever been?

I have been known to get people banned from here for botting/trading here in the past.

Yeah, Stinger has never been know for showing compassion.

But every forum needs its dyed-in-the-wool, iron-fisted cynic, and Stinger is one of the best.

Now, that "compassion" thing is a bit strong! I spend a great deal of time in detail helping people and that is compassion, but I can indeed be the first to smack someone around for being pathetic!

ever seen one of my polls?

I stand corrected. And in all fairness I have to say that I greatly respect your technical expertise on the game, as well as your candor and your willingness to help the "not pathetic". However...

...I can indeed be the first to smack someone around for being pathetic!

That was sorta my point. By definition, "pathetic" people are the ones who are most in need of "compassion".

But in any case, I'm sorry if I offended.

Peace :flowers:

Usually when a person hits "pathetic" in my book they are beyond "in need of average help" and the only real help you can give them is to "smack them around until they wake up"!

Thus, really rather you believe it or not I am trying to help all in the end although I admit at times it doesnt look like it and may indeed not even be me really trying!!! ;)

Any "mystery" deaths I have experienced have generally been the result of heavy alcohol/substance use.

That's why it's always a good idea to keep a shovel and some plastic bags in your trunk. :wink3:
