is it good to sox a facet in something if you don't need the sox (weapon probably) just for the "on die" effect? does it really kill people? i never pvp with facets, so i really don't know.
also, which facet is the best "on die" for that? psn? light?

The only facet that can kill people are
Cold facet(Blizzard)-Cold sorc or enemy must have low low hp if you socket it on another char (Maybe less than 50hp if you socket it on another character besides a cold sorc)

Light facet(Chain lightning)-Light sorc or enemy must be low hp

Poison facet(Poison nova)-Kills any 1hp otherwise it won't finish them off.

The on die effect might occasionally kill players if you bring them down to near 1 hp but really that shouldn't be your concern because you should be concerned with not dying in the first place. If its a choice between a level facet and a death facet death ones are considered "better" because occasionally you might die and they do something (maybe just annoy whoever killed you) whereas you won't be leveling up mid-duel obviously.

Use facets if your build needs an elemental damage boost while you are alive, that is what facets are for. Not for the on death effect. If you are planning on dying you are building your pvp character wrong.

Ive seen some players load up on death facets on a shapeshifter since they'll trigger twice but really thats just fooling around, thats not a viable pvp tactic imo.

lol sounds funny.
i know it's not good, but killing after you die is just super cool. that shapeshifts sounds super cool. load facets for after death KABOOM! nice... that's style.

main question is not if it's necessary but if it can really kill people...which is the the killer and what combination may work

Why can't meteor kill people?

Some people are dumb enough to wait around for it.

^^ it can, but its less likely. at least in comparison to other facets.

Meteor will only most likely kill someone when they stop to:
1.type EZPK
2.Takes a single step to grab gold
3.wtflaglol

Lol even if you were kidding, meteor has and will continue to kill people that tries to do any of the above. :p

if u have a psn necro, a psn die facet will sometimes kill a player. in my experience, the facet would get them to 1hp, and then the fire golem will explode a couple of seconds after i die (due to lag or whatever) and kill them.

Destruction runeword also but its like fire facet
100% Chance To Cast level 45 Meteor When You Die
