I assume ESCCL means Eastern Classic Soft Core Ladder?
I think your problem is that, when you play, most of the players are asleep. The realm is called "Eastern" because most of the players are from the eastern US. That means you're playing from 10:30 until 4 or 5am.
At more reasonable times of day (I play off and on between 8 and 12 EST), cs runs are plentiful. Sometimes it's hard to catch them, because they fill up fast, but once you get one, you can ride it for ten games or so, before it peters out.
You might want to try the USWest realm.

yeh it meant east....and west is pretty much dead...like super cereal dead...i dunno...
if/when you see a game up called: "op xyz" (or whatever account name it is) - take a few minutes to idle in said chat channel to see what's goin on.
free advice: observe/watch before prattling on. many of the 1337 folk in said channels don't take kindly to "nubs" asking question, and/or begging for cs runs and won't hesitate to kick/ban from the channel.
quite a few private cs runs are done soley with members present in said channel, and/or folks on said members' /f lists.
if you know the folks/host/maker of the runs, and you want to ride along for glitches, ask them to keep it private, but make it "8 person game" - they'll benefit from the extra experience your presence provides, and you benefit from rapid fire cs runs that don't require you to q-check every time.
else, if you have a barron bo-barb, barron sorc, or barron hammerdin try hosting your own cs run - if you are of high enough level, fairly often people will come...
I honestly prefer to cs with mostly people I know, and/or know how they run. All too often the new players refuse to listen, and do stupid stuff like take bo-shrines from a barb that already has lvl 31 bo - or worse, grab that xp shrine in the cs before even the first seal is popped, or over-bo a level 31-33 bo with a crummy lvl 15 bo...
