Anyone have any idea where the best place to get it is? Im on SP, hell is quite hard for me. Can tal armor drop in nm??
If you are single player, download atma - link can be found on the single player forum.
There is no reason not to if you want to build wealth on single player and you get a free dropcalculator aswell so you can check it out yourself.

Maybe best would be to ask for an advice on SP forum... With a little more info (like why is hell hard for you).

First of all I highly recommend playing (private games only! or you WILL be PK'ed! you have been warned!) on "Closed" Battle.Net... Single Player is a good way to learn and it is useful if you have a poor, or no, Internet connection, but Battle.Net is IMO the real way to go.
Secondly, to answer your question directly, the only places where I have found Tal's armor are off of Hell Baal (and, one time, I heard of somebody getting it off Hell Diablo, Hell Lister and Hell Venatar, but I wasn't there so this is unconfirmed). Supposedly it also can drop off of Champion and Unique monsters in the Hell Pit, but the chances must be very low, since I have run the Pit hundreds of times in Hell and have never seen it drop. It is an extremely rare set armor piece and has a very high trade value (typically 1-3 high runes).
There is hope, however -- I have had the Immortal King's Soul Cage body armor drop for me both in the River of Flame (Act IV) and the Pit (Act I) (these were both off of Champion monsters in these two places), and if the IK armour can drop then presumably the Tal's one can too.
Can anyone confirm or deny the above?
Cheers
Mr. Bill
It's a hard item to hunt down specifically, baal quest drops have been good to me on that front but that's not practical without some nice gear. Pindleruns (on hell) may be good. Actually playing 1.07 would be the most reliable way to find it but I can't recommend it in this instance. If you have anything nice to offer you'll be able to trade for it with the other SPers at the SPTF.
Above poster, you recommend playing on bnet but also say play in private games only? Where's the point? Anyway take NASE's advice for finding some specific targets.

I'm guessing its because you can still have the single-player experience playing by yourself, but can also trade with other players for the items you need when you need them.

Among the super-uniques, all those in act 5, the Diablo seal bosses, Hephasto (Hellforge smith) and Coldworm (maggot queen in the act 2 maggot lair) can drop it. I would visit those superuniques who are easy to find, like Pindle, Eldritch and Shenk, as well as Diablo and the seal bosses and Baal. Meph cannot drop it. Apart from that, the usual L85 areas, like Pits, Tunnels, CS, WSK etc. are excellent areas as well.

Mac isn't for playing games. It's for "Serious" people.
Hey, I play games all the time on my mac
Back OT, I found a Tal's armor from both Nith and Baal. If you can run either of them (well, for SP, Nith isn't that useful since you can't do the ubers) they are both a good possibility.
What build are you using? (I presume a sorc, but what kind?) Since you said Hell is hard and that often dictates where you are going to be looking for things. Pindle is easy for most builds if you can stand to run him a few thousand times.

Any and all area-Level 85's with good MF should yield one eventually. Got mine running [hell] WS-Keep with some MF gear on. Kill lots on monsters fast and hunt the uniques.
no special mf gear on my pally....got my tal armor in hell pits:thumbsup:

Thanks to Randall and silospen, mac SPers now have GoMule for all their muling needs.
What? When? Where!
Oh, that's what google's for, found it.
Randall/Silospen, you are my new hero's..... Even though I play on bnet at the moment, eventually I get bored of watching people say things alone the lines of "OMG PWNZORED!!@#@! NUB!"

Why is battle.net the way to go?
It's a pretty weird comment to make, like saying SP is the only way to go. Makes no sense really, everyone has their own playing preference.
Have you ever dropped by the SPF?

Actually, there is a WIP version, but it's hidden. I think silospen left instructions for trying it somewhere in the SPF's stickies.
