So, i though about building a "anti-soso" pally. This is what i have come up with
Skills:
Holy Shock lvl 20
Res. Light lvl 20
Salviation lvl 20
Charge lvl x
Zeal lvl x?
Holy Sheild x
i decided for show, obvius cuz of dmg (4xxx), with charge, i can catch up too filthy telers, Charge would therefore be main attack. Though, if the char survives the charge/charges, i though about having Zeal as second, it will deal nice dmg really quick, and if i have 2 charges, it would give up to 12k ld.
As for leveling ill be goin cs from start. Once salviation is maxed it will be prime aura in cs, givin all mates godly res.
As for gear:
Weapon: BH or 2+er. BH for zeal ofc.
Sheild: Prism, cr stack, maybe 3 socted 2 PD 1 PSa
Armor: Twich/fhr str life res - depends on my "wealth"
Amu: + pala res
Rings: leechers with res for easy pvm
Gloves: donno, bloodfist maybe for fhr and life
Boots: Gobs / fhr res
Helm: Fhr life res
Will it work?
if I understand the concept, the idea is that the bulk of the damage will come from the aura on your charge, as such forget the bh/zeal idea - at the end / finished clvl you'll be competing with chars that are potent enough that most can/will very quickly finish you off if you have a zeal miss.
since it looks like you want resists, and will be using high level salvation anyway, use a +2 din shield at any cost, regardless of whether it has resists. in addition I would consider using full irathra's+hotspurs+hawmail (or gskin if you want to invest that much str) initially as cheap gear. 95 cr, 95 fr, 85 lr, 85 pr in a hell cs means you'll have more of a problem finding cs runs to participate in, than surviving long enough to leach. if you have a good mf-er and/or find wealth easy to accumulate, you'll eventually be able to do a +2 priz/stack.
consider a few into blessed hammer as you can then also truly "help" (or make the whiners in the cs think you're helping)
for example: if I recall correctly there is a shockadin/charger build posted that has 20 in blessed hammer, but no supporting bh synergies. the idea being it can truly help in a cs via hammers - especially as a medium support din if there's another din in the group.

Not in my experience - most good hammerdins charge from one boss to another in CS runs and if you dont keep up you wont be there to leech their aura to use hammers...
I always had success with the holy shock+synergy+max salvation aura and a fast bow/throwing daggers - you get 14k light dmg on a ranged attack - once you name lock the sorc, they can teleport all the like - they aint getting away from a fast bow :thumbsup:
The only prob with the bow approach is limited res - but again, i had a lvl 71 maxed pala with gold unique rogues bow, and he could take down a sorc in only 3 hits - when your pumping out 2 arrows a second, thats a quick take down.
Of course they then team up with barbs and other sorcs and outnumber you once youve killed them once or twice - everyones a sore looser :rolleyes:

Not sure I understand the reference here. He's got charge leveled to quite the degree. Most hammerdins only have clvl 1 charge, supported by maxed vigor +skills when they clag from seal to seal, keeping up shouldn't be a problem for any din build so long as they survive. :thumbsup:

Rogue's Bow is the unique composite bow:

Its pluses for this build are the -10 base speed and the 50% ias.

I don't understand why Rogue's Bow is good. Sure it's fast, but 30% deadly strike on 4-17 damage? That's up to maybe 50-60 damage with maxed concentrate, taking Deadly Strike into account. What am I missing here?
I hope I'm not missing too much -- I threw away the Rogue's Bow I found. :)
You said why: because its fast. :smiley:
Most of the damage is lightening damage coming from the aura. The bow is only a means of delivering that damage quickly and at range.

Keep in mind that rare bows can receive only up to 20% ias. The 50% ias on the already [-10] composite bow means that rogue's bow can achieve speeds impossible on any other bow or xbow.

One additional thing: shockerdins are apparently pretty decent gull finders. Just make trist games w full mf and charge around one drops.
