yes, it's capped at 5. skill information can be found at the arreat summit:

I vaguely recall one of the earliest versions is not capped at 5 and you just keep swinging until you've had your zeal level +1 in swings or until you died from being swarmed, since you're stuck for rather long periods of time while swinging.
So, carefull with that. :)

I've updated to 1.10 already =D So no worries...
Btw, does mana/life leech work on blessed hammer? And you can't have 2 SOJ's or any the same uniques while just playing on the single player, correct? And blocking in classic is dependent on dex right?

Blessed hammer doesn't leach.
Yes, You can wear 2 of the same unique? Only rings ofc
And no, dex doesn't affect block.

"And you can't have 2 SOJ's or any the same uniques while just playing on the single player, correct?"
I think he is asking can you get a second of the same unique to drop ? It used to be that a unique couldn't spawn (either by gambling or by dropping) if one already existed in that game (in this case he is asking about single player so he can't mule anything off the character). In fact in the old days everyone used to carry a Nagel ring and a Manald ring around with em to force SoJs to drop. Of course this was negated if someone else in the game was running around actually wearing an SoJ :)
I do remember that at some stage this rule was changed and uniques could drop any old how, so /shrug is my answer to that question.

Now, any unique item will only drop once in a game. If there are more uniques of the same type, having one drop does not increase the chance of the others dropping.
Say a manald drops in a game, another manald could spawn in that game, it would simply drop as a rare ring with (oh joy) tripple durability. That's a failed unique, a rare with tripple durability. After that manald drops, the chance of a nagel or soj is not higher. It's still the same.

Thanks for the replies...
A few more questions... =D
1. Can a Zealot(Zeal+Fana+Synergies) be effective if I have Base Dex and relying on angelic ammy/rings and items with +ar? Or do I need to add Dex?
2. And you can't gamble now on sets/uniques right?
3. Using the cube recipe to socket an armor, what properties of the gem does it take? the Helm? The Shield? Or the Weapon?

1
Using just your zeal AR with fana boost and Angelics is definately enough. No need to waste points in dex.
2
Yes, you can gamble uniques and set items still, it's just very, very, very rare.
3
it takes the same properties as helms do. I thought it also listed "armor" when you hover a gem.

Btw, what is the max block % you can achieve in classic?
IsThisNamePermanent

depends on shield type and char class.
Grim shields give best block, with a sorc I know its like 50-60%. Paladins have the Holy Shield ability, which boosts the block to 75%.

The max block is 75%. The base blocking percentage on a particular shield type can be found at the arreat summit.

Highest chance to block for any class is a tower/pavise.
But a tower has 75 str req and a pavise has 133 str req.
So I agree with you that you can get the most interesting str req/ctb(and def) with a grim shield.

Don't forget that Twitchthroe can give a bonus to blocking, which is one of the very few sources of better blocking in Classic (besides Holy Shield.)

But, how come I got the unique shield SteelClash twice from Diablo in Normal difficulty? It still has the same properties of the 1st one I've got, except for -3 DEF. And still in gold letters...
And, does the "Players X" work in classic sp?

Did that shield drop twice in a single kill/drop ?
Only thing I've had Diablo donate to me double in the same drop was a green breastplate. Meph has done the same to me. I swear both of them have stocks in the Isenhart factory. Or maybe just lots of coupons.

Diablo in one game can drop the same uniques as Diablo in another game.
Uniques will only drop once in one game. If Andariel drops a Steelcash, you continue playing all the way trough that game, no other steelcash will drop.
As for failed uniques, you could also roll a unique exec for instance, there isn't one in classic, so it'll turn into a rare with tripple durability. Handy for those long flayer runs, even better when that's on a lance.

Okay thanks. So if I got a Steelclash in one game then exit the game and enter again, there is a chance that monsters would drop the same unique, correct?
Btw, does the "Players X" command work in classic SP?

If you enter the same game, the steelcash will not drop again.
If you enter another game, the steelcash can drop again(provided it hasn't dropped there yet).
The /players command should work in classic SP aswel, yes.

And I swear that I once was able to take Cain's tp to town, and repeatedly go thru it, although there is a chance that a tp shrine was right there and I didn't see it.
