View Full Version : is 49% war hammer good lld?
I think the max ed is like 60% for a level 12, but I don't understand the alvl and clvl stuff so I just want to confirm

49% ed
70 ar
23 poison dmg
1-2 cold dmg
10 fr
Also zeal hits 1 target 5 times with a lvl 1 zeal doesn't it? So for a lvl 12 lld you charge them then zeal?

I have no idea about lld in classic, but level 1 zeal swings 2 times only. Level 4 zeal swings 5 times, FYI.

nah for level 12 you just go max might for level and 1 pt. charge. It's got cold dmg too so that helps.
may as well have the zeal nothing else really to put the points in, but I read somewhere that you get passive bonuses from blessed aim or something, is that true?
I'm thinking wearing hsarus full set and angelics full set with 2 rings, then getting str gloves or something coz I still need like 10 str to wear the war hammer at pure vit
maybe I'll go with bloodfist and just soc helm with amys

Rest iirc , Long time since I've played my lld account, forgot the name of it lol.
Go angelic rings ammy, Deaths gloves/belt/ Rest was sigs iirc, Or go hsarus and use some random sheild. But sigs was nice for high block (Damn nice melee ^_^) And +1.

I think 53 dmg is max for level 9, not sure about level 11, I have problems in reading ED %, can you just post the damage please?

after hitting the print screen button, go look in your diablo2 folder on the hard drive. you should see .jpg files in there :thumbsup: typically I believe they'll showup as "screenshot001.jpg" etc.

Probably too slow for effective zealing, better for charge imo.
last night, I found a clvl 16, 4x ed, 59 dmg war hammer (it had +10 max) with a host of other mods. pity I didn't have the inventory space to mule it, or keep it for the 2-3 people on east that like to lld and would have been willing to pay something worth the time to trade it.

I was (barely) keeping up glitching in a rapid paced cs run that was only on #9 of a #20 set. I'd have likely not made it back into the run had I taken the time, even with a couple of people in the run calling out D.

Hmm... This is what i do to get lld warhammers etc.
Collect money and use a low level gambler (price is cheaper and it prevents mods that rise the level reg) to gamble warhammers. Same goes for pikes naturally.
Time invested is couple of hours and it got me 2 pikes lv req 19 (146 and 149 dmg with nice ar and some elemental dmg) and 2 warhammers 53 dmg for 12 lv and 56 with poison for 13 lv. Also lost 2.5 million game gold...
In my opinion its quite fast and easy way to get nice lld weapons.

indeed - nice pikes. :thumbsup: even easier if one has access to multiple cd-keys, a 2nd computer, or has gone through the trouble of setting up "fast user switching" as discussed in that other thread (since we don't discuss other, 'illegal' methods of utilizing multiple cd key's)
I like running cow king with a find item barb if you use loader/fast user switching for lld items. Nice rares mostly for levels 9 and 18 and possibly the best source of certain items including death's belt and hotspurs. I might just be lucky with that one but should be worth a try if you still need some of the non rares.

my old nl find item (urker) barb was the one that popped up that nearly pure ed naga that I traded too cheaply to dlee years ago from hell cow king
mostly hell cows are a good way to not gain experience, wear out melee weapons, and get yourself back to base xp for your given clvl but I do have to agree that norm/nm cows are decent enough places to mf for very useful items. they also make a great place to farm full juvs if one has a pot-head as they used to be called :thumbsup:
Haven't tested it myself, but one of my friends told me about a mfing variation i might try, cause im bit bored cs'ing, gold digging and memph glitching atmo.
The theory was that clean hell cows with javazon, chant dual wielding barb and kill/pop the king.
Don't have a javazon made this ladder, but it might be fun to start. Besides would finally find enough bh's for a nice imbue session (got 13 7x+ lv imbues waiting).
The reason i concider this at all, is that i gambled nice ama amu last night. +2 3 min 20 str 20 mana 15 life prism... Too bad its not sorc amu. NO stack either :cry:

I usually imbue bh's since they are highly overpriced in every realm compared to other items (IMO) . One can allways trade them for Mp's and such. That being said, self found and imbued is always nicer than traded :largeevil:
