Do javelins have more range than axes when thrown? I've noticed axes have horribly bad range...
javs = better range
axes = bigger stacks
definitely need that range imo if you're planning to pvp with a thrower.

Do knives have anything for them :grin:
bah, i find the axes have bad range even in pvm... its like what, range 10? a char using a polearm could reach half the distance and do twice the damage... and you're way to close in...

Well iirc the top throwing weapons for a baba are eth lacerators, eth warshrieks, and i do believe up'd eth deathbits (or maybe the bits are pvm only). Although eth Gargoyle's Bite and eth Deamon Arch's are rather nice too.

eth compact cruel fools/masters of alarcity, self-replenish, and transcendance(max damage) rare would be godly too...

But so are so many other "possible" rares :tongue:.

one can always dream :grin:
Yeah the unique throwing spears have pretty crap stats. Warshrikes with pierce and lacerators with amp, both with self rep, are the way to go for pvm. I made one in SP using a 1.07 razortail (50% pierce instead of 33%) was pretty good.
But if you're imbueing eths I recommend harpoons. You can always upgrade to winged harpoons but if you get one with good mld stats (something like kings+ferocious+quickness+self rep) it will be godly not just ok and can always cube up to elite if worth it. As far as imbueing for a chance of getting something better than a unique, eth throwing spears are right up there imo.
