THE question: How to get maxed BO ?

Hi all !

I might start my first "real" barb [that means mules doesn't count ;) ], so I need help on how to precast the highest lvl BO possible (I love the idea of having a godly BO to help myself and my team):

1) what's the best BO helm ever ? (other stats don't count.. just BO)
1.1) Delirium made in a 3 BO helm ?
1.2) +3 warcies/+3 BO helm ? [Does it even exist ?]
1.3) +2 warcies/ +3 BO helm ? [Does it even exist ?]
1.4) +2 barb skill / +3 BO helm ? [Does it even exist ?]

2) 2x warcies spears or 1x warcies spears + 3/3/x cta ? I did a bit of maths and it seems like 1x +3 warcies spear + 3/3/x cta would own 2x warcies spears because of the cta's +1 all skill.

3) Is it possible to have a 1 h weapon with +3 warcies AND + x to BO ?

So it would look like this:
helm: question 1
weapon 1 and 2: question 2 and 3
amy: +3 warcies
armor: wealth or coh or enigma
belt: arach
rings: 2x bk or 2x sojs
gloves: anything
boots: anything

charms: 9xwarcry gc, barb torch, anni.

From what I understood:
1) Best helm would be a +3 warcies/+3 BO rare helm.
2) Best weapons would be 2 echoers +3 warcries (shoppable). I think echoer + CTA (no interest with 2 CTA since 1 of the bonus is applied only one time IIRC) would give you 1 more point, but I'm not sure.
3) doesn't exist, echoers are your best (and cheapest) bet.

For the armor, you can use a simple Myth Runeword (Hel Amn Nef) which gives you a cheap +2.

6bo Hat (+3 warcrys, +3 BO staffmod, yes they exist, just very rare) = 6
3 warcry ammy = 9

1x +3bo CtA (or better but the oSkill cap is +3) with the +1 all skills on CtA = 18

BTW, (to the OP)
the 6bo Hat (+3 warcrys, +3 BO) only spawn on magic blue barb hats
+2 Barb Skills, +3 BO is max for a rare barb hat.
And forget about spears, go +3BO knife.
Smaller if you stash in chest etc..

20 fcr is only on the circlet/tiara/diadem type of helms.

the oskill on the CTA is caped at +3, but the CTA also comes with a +1 to all skill levels, this is not affected by the cap on the oskill.. Wearing two CTA will however only give +5 since the oskill from all your equipment is caped at +3. thus, Cta + HOTO give 3 + 1 + 3.

And once again, never forget a skill shrine! =)

You can also find a skill shrine, but let's say you're not that lucky. You get a final BO level of 55.

Because you are wearing arach (20 fcr) and hoto (40 fcr), you might also want to wear fcr gloves like magefist or trang oul to reach the 63 fcr bp. That will allow you to cast 2*BC, BO and shout pretty fast (1.44 s according to Borje).

Anybody has something to add on that or we just reached perfection ?

I'm at a level 54 BO with mine...just can't find that +6 bo helm yet. Hopefully in time I will.

Hey Harbinger, I feel for you. I spent all of last ladder at 54, for the same reason, could not find that elusive +3 Warcries/+3BO hat. I still pick up every magic Barb hat that I find.

DarthLeader, we debated this question many times in the past, and what you have up above is what we ended up at every time. 55 is max (without the shrine). My only suggestion is to use Frostburns for the increased Mana pool. You burn through Mana really fast with this build.

he's not really proposing a build just wondering how high it can go.

to get a 3/3 i'd suggest looking up the lowest ilvl that echoing can spawn on, finding a blue barb hat from a monster that will give you that ilvl and rolling it untill the end of time... or you get one, whichever one comes first.

Anyhow, I made a pure BO barb myself last season. He does, indeed, have 55 BO as max.

Anyhow, it wasn't until recently - with some help from my enchantress - that I turned him into a pking beast. He kills people in wolf form using beast (and ss if it's against melee type) and guided arrows. =O

He's got a stash full of random weapons like doomz griefz lwz wizzy's. It's hilarious slaying builds that were made to kill!

I think everyone missed this chap's comment here. Indeed, it looks like a helmet +2 Barb skills +2 Warcries +3 BO helmet can indeed spawn as a rare, but the chance is even slimmer than a 3/3.

So, the max BO without the skill shrine increases to 56. Thus providing +200% life/mana/stamina exactly.

No, it isn't possible, War Cry is a barbskill, the damaging/stunning one that singers use to do damage and kill chaps... The helmet mentioned is a helm with a total of +5 Shout and +4 War Cry, indeed a valueable item for a singer barb, but it doesn't give more than the +2 (barb) to BO. War Cry isn't the same thing as Warcries...
