Find Item on Mf Barb?

Is Find Item worth putting on my Mf Barb? I would only be able to put one point into it and that means I would also not be able to max my synergy for Beserk if I was to do so. Is it worth it? I dont know enough about Find Item to decide. Thanks for any help.

On an MF barb, without a doubt. The percentage chance is a change to get another drop out of the monster, quoting the Arreat Summit: "When Find Item is used on a corpse, it gives an X% chance of doing a drop as if you had killed the monster normally." So you basically get a chance for more drops. The best part is that it can be used on superuniques too, like Pindleskin, Eldritch and the likes so you get a really good boost to your item finding.

One point gives 13% chance which isn't that much but don't bother putting extra points in it, just use a few +skill items like a barb torch to boost it up futher, with +5 skills (skill level 6) you get 35% chance. At this point it gets a diminishing return, another +5 skills (skill level 11) only gets it to 42% chance. At lvl 20 you get 51% chance so don't bother with more than one point, but by all means, that one point is without any doubt two well spent points (one in prereq, one in the skill).

I use my echoing weapon switch to improve find item by 6 skill levels after every bigger fight. Just leave find item as your active skill after you have casted your battle orders, so you can switch from regular right click skill to find item with the W-key.
