Goblin Toe or Gore Riders [V1.11b]

I'm a lvl 79 Barb, and I've been using an Upped Goblin Toe since waaaay back. All the forums say that Gore Riders are far better, but I just love the 25% CB.

Here the question: I'm in Hell Act 2, and life is quite decent as a frenzy barb. I'm just wondering if I could be even happier with Gore Riders. Do the open wounds and Deadly strike compensate for the extra 10% CB of Goblin?

the thing about gore rider myrmidon greaves is that they offer more damage than mirrored boots with less strength requirements. and the ow + frw are just gravy.. imo those are worth more than the extra 10cb..

iirc deadly strike won't transfer to kicks?

I don't know what he's talking about kicksins for but I would say gores are a lot better.
Lets compare the boot's useful mods.
Gtoe's
25% Chance of a Crushing Blow'
Damage Reduced By 1*
Magic Damage Reduced By 1*
*-not really too useful

Gores
30% Faster Run/Walk
10% Chance Of Open Wounds
15% Chance Of Crushing Blow
15% Deadly Strike

So overall you're going to loose about 10% cb. I use 50% cb when I do ubers, but I'm also fight a monster with 500,000+ life. Personally, I would go for gores.

hands down gores

10% chance to reduce life over time(open wounds)
15% chance do do a % of damage (crushing blow)
15% chance to do double damage (deadly strike)


add them together and that a 40% chance to do soemhting painful.

Plus the faster run walk allows faster runs = more kills.

i had the same problem, but i couldn't get a logic answer.
So i tested it myself

Gore>Goblin Toe

First Q pvp use ?

in pvp a cb does 1/10 of dmg so CB is totally useless.

Goblin is only good if fight bosses/uber in pvp a gore RULEZ
