How are ZODs possible on the ladder? [Archive]

For the current ladder season how can anyone possbily have a ZOD?

Is it still possible to cheat in this game even on a new-ish ladder???

I am coming back but it just bugs me if people can cheat on a ladder that is just 7months old or so...I thought a fresh ladder would get rid of most if not all the cheaters. Am I correct?

Nope. One zod is enough for a duper to get working. And don't forget - ladder reset does not mean that Blizzard develops anti-cheating measures. It is simply a ladder reset, and the cheaters/dupers are still there.

And it's not like they need a zod to dorp, since you can cube duped runes, and then dupe the result. There were people with jah and ber the day or so after the ladder rest, and there's no way those would have dropped so quickly.

There's no reason why those runes couldn't drop (statistically speaking) for a player on day one of ladder. What is less likely is that a reasonable number of players (relatively) would have them after one day. So, while one in a trading game might not be unheard of, someone with more than one HR might realistically be considered a shady character :grin:

But yes, duping still appears to be endemic, despite the majority of the lag dupes no longer working.

Does Blizzard at least know all the duping methods, just too lazy to do anything about it, or are they actually clueless about some?

I wonder if anyone could recommend certain appropriate levels for killing the act bosses? Like is Andariel level 15? I can't recall them at all..

I don't think blizzard really cares anymore, they make so much money from WoW and soon to be even more from SC2 they are basically done with diablo2, until we get diablo3 then the dupes will be gone. Just like there aren't any hacks for WoW.
