Greetings all!

I've decided to make a CS Blizz/Glitch Sorc. I'm going to model it along the lines of the Orb Glitch build posted on these forums. However, I'm expecting some tweaks are needed, and was wondering if anyone would care to comment on just what differences they feel I should build in.

No doubt these differences are already mentioned in probably scores of previous threads - but I'm too lazy to look through 'em all. :undecided:

So you're going to andy glitch and cs with this char?

Yes. Ideally, I'd like her to be balanced enough to be able to defend against PK too. But I'll really only be using her to Glitch Diablo. Of course, seeing how its so easy to use the exploit on Andy - I'll throw that in as well.

as you may recall, my current ladder mephy glitcher is a blizzer.

for gear, I'm currently using twitch, full irathra's, 30/20 socked pdia priz bone shield, fcr/rezzy rings, frw rezzy boots. at level 84 her blizz dmg is a hair over 2k with level 20 mastery, and all of the blizzard synergy's at level 20 as well with the exception of the top most in the tree (ice bolt?). this gave her a 'maxed' level 20 ice blast/glacial spike. (she has one into static, one into teleport and/or the pre-reqs)

she has a bit too much into str, but is otherwise essentially a vita build - nothing really added to dex, and zero added to energy.

if/when I quest her on mephy I intend to do mini-seal raids in the cs on infector/viz and use the glacial spike as a means of crowd control, and use the typically more potent blast for individual bosses/champs that typically do not freeze in place.

she obviously will not be able to really think about taking out seis but should easily be able to level deep into the late 80s w/out even csing her in pub cs's and risk getting her barroned.

after that I may participate in private cs's to utilize her lord/lady status.

as I acquire/gamble "gg" items I may elect to swap out the irathra's in order to take advantage of more +skills via a +2 rezzy ammy, and more than likely will toss on spurs for FR rez in case I get hit with lower rez curse in the cs - irathra's, even with my shield just isn't enough resistance at that point - nor is it to fend off cs-pker's really.

both of the rezzy rings I currently use have huge +dex mods on them, but a 20 fcr tri rez, mana wand, plus magefists, plus the rings would go a long ways to stacking that resist as well.

the 50 fcr target is typically plenty for teleporting into the cs, even if I normally prefer 70.

Is this for 2/8 CS or what exactly?

Personally I prefer 110 fcr if I'm going to be hitting seals. 1 pt tele, 1 pt shiver armor, 1 pt static, max blizz, max cold mastery, max blizz synergies (ice blast>glacial>bolt). Magefists, shard, gskin or res/life/fhr armour, rare res boots, +2 amu, fcr rings x2 (1 soj if you can afford a +2 10 fcr amu without sacrificing too much res), tarn optionally if your other gear is good enough particularly if not final hitting dia otherwise a res/life/fhr helm, rare belt with fhr str res life or nightsmoke as the budget alternative. You won't get be at any real risk with 63 fcr and a 30/20 but it's less effective imo.

You can‘t get 110 fcr without wall of eyeless. This shield ruins many good sorc builds, but
1) you don't need fcr amu then
2) you can still get some mf from tarn/boots
3) if it's a cs run, pala is more likely to get last hit on dia anyway so mf shouldn† be considered too much

So what about ES? Or is ES really only for pvp?
I wouldn't mind trying a build that might seem a little wacky at first, if anyone has some well thought out - but un-tried ideas.
The more times I've had to remake my glitch sorc, the more I've decided half the fun is leveling from those very early levels.

ES on a blizz sorc? I predict you'll very quickly realize you have a permed mule if you go that route...

ES, and/or the synergies/pre-reqs will take away too much from your blizzard's damage in my opinion.

an effective ES also pretty much requires a decent sized mana pool, and/or rep, which will force you to rethink how you play, and what exactly you can afford to tank, fbr/fhr rates, etc.

get stun locked with ES on, a small red bulb, especially near a mana burner and you're going to be instant road kill.

here's a thought. make a chanter, that way you can make all of these odd builds a bit quicker. :)

heh... ok maybe scrap the ES then. Dunno, just getting tired of my mainstay - looking for something fun.

Have you tried a tel/bliz
20 in tel = 5mana a pop
20 blizz
20 ice blast
20 glacial spik
+ all the pres your around 80
all most for got what you have left goes in to cm
and if you play and not get rushed you start with around 5 in all sins and then
max blizz and 1 pt in cm

yeah blizz with maxed tele is just as good as an orber for rushing etc while also quite good for CS etc, but you don't leave cm at 1, you invest heavily (15-20) in it over a blizz synergy.
