Im going to make a MF barb.

Im thinking of doing stat distribution as per PVP character, ie decent ani and torch then enough strength and dex to equip items then rest into vitality.

Not sure on skill points though.

If we say a level 80 barb so I have a total of 91 skill points to allocate.

I already have a PVP WW barb so dont want to use WW as I fancy a change.

The reason I have decided to use a barb to MF is the ability to wield two 6 socket zerkers/collosal blades/whatever full of ists (yes I do have the currency to do this, and no I dont dupe). Thus giving 360% MF from the two weapons alone, obviously this is going to cut down on my killing power quite a bit but its a risk I am willing to take.

So I was thinking a frenzy barb or a bezerker (but if i go for a bezerker then the other weapon is basically useless and just stacking MF and decreasing my survivability using it instead of a shield)?

So basically, after reading what my goal is can you please give advise on skill point dist and items to use if you dont mind.

Just from my experience, I think you may be going about it wrong. I think you can build up the MF without sacrificing the killing power. I am using a setup that has me around 400% MF without a big drop in killing power. It is kind of expensive I won't deny.

I have a Gheeds, a zod, ist, ist, ehtereal Tomb Reaver, Enigma armor, laying of hands, highlords, 10 7% mf sc, war travelers, 2 ists IK Helm, Carrion Wind, Nagel ring.

It kills really well. Have a BOTD Great Poleaxe on switch because I really need some mana leach on this guy, but other then that it kills really good. Course you may be wanting higher MF then this.

Berserker Axe 1H damage: 24-71
Colossus Blade 1H damage: 25-65

I agree, this is the wrong approach to MF...

Read one of the many guides for how to build a frenzier/zerker.

Running around in Hell with base damage weapons that can barely produce any leech will get you killed.

Points taken....

Thanks for the advise guys, so scrap the 6 ist weapons idea and build pretty much like a normal barb just adding as much MF gear as poss.

Yeah, I think if you built a tough Barb that could carry 200-300% MF and slaughter things quickly you'd be way further ahead.

just to let ya know, while it is expensive, the tomb reaver is great. Not only can you get tons of MF and good damage from it, you also get great resist. The only true weakness of my build is mana leach, which I hope to address with a dual leech ring at some point.
