Hi all,
I have a lvl 82 V/S, and I was hoping I could get some comments on where I am going with this build. I am basically making a Smiter that is immune to elemental casters, and will still have the raw power to take down melee chars and maybe even other Smiters.

Stats:
Str: Base 40//146 w/gear
Dex: Base 45//140 w/gear
Vita: Base 388//1.5k w/gear (not Bo)
Energy: Base 15

Skills LVL 82:
20 Fanat
15 Holy Shield (I am currently maxing this)
10 Smite (I will put remaining pts into it after maxing HS)
20 Resist Lightning
10 Resist Fire
1 Resist Cold
6 Prereqs

Gear:
Helm- Um Shako
Armor- D Enigma
Weapon- Greif PB/4Bo CTA
Shield- Um HoZ/ Lidless
Belt- Dungo 15% DR
Gloves- Bloodfists
Boots- Waterwalk
Rings- SOJ/5%BK
Ammy- 27R Maras
Charms-
3 Off GCs- 30 Life, 3 PCombs Plain, 1PComb 40 Life
4x 20 Life/5res SCs
1 20 Life/11% Fire R
1 20 Life/11% Lite R
1 20 Life/11% Cold R
1 18 Life/3% FRW SC
13/18 PTorch
Anni

My resists in hell after gear:
Fire - 85 without aura active, 90 with aura
Cold - 75 without aura, 81 with aura
Lightning 90 without aura, 100 with aura
Poison - 75

My listed Smite Dmg:
approx~ 1.2k-1.4k
My Life after Bo:
2.4k

I think I am going to try to get an AP Enigma for more Def, and a couple more PComb Lifers. I also find that the boost my Off GCs give to Fanat has a great effect on my dmg. I am guessing that with a few more GCs and more pts in Smite and HS I can reach 1.5-1.7k Smite dmg or more, so I will be able to take on pure smiters without any disadvantage. Also, V/Ts, Templars, Fire Sorcs and Druids, Trapsins, Lite Sorc's and Zons should all be EZ pks.

The only chars I will lose to on a consistent basis are Hdins and Bone Necs, Maybe Wind Druids, but thats the case with almost any smiter and pk chars in general. Barbs and Bowzons will be a challenge but with strategic teleing and walking, I should be able to win.

So, any suggestions or comments that could help me enhance this char?

Thanks,
Ace

lol, now you have 4 posts and no-one will give you an answer ... I've had it happen too that I got multiple posts in the past.

Not sure I understand the idea of the build. Will you be switching between auras depending on type of caster, and with Fanat for melee? You won't really be immune to casters unless you have some absorb (e.g. Dwarf Star and Thundergods Vigor), but yes high resists do help. I wonder if investment in Salvation doesn't make more sense; you don't seem to need the other skills for synergies or something.

I've never dueled with a Smiter so I can't tell you much else.

You put 20 in Resist Lightning? I was expecting a Tesla or FOH'er. As long as you have Thundergod's Vigor, you shouldn't worry about lightning that much.

Oh BTW, max resistance is 95 no matter what level of the game you're on.

I am trying to make a GM char, so using tgods or wisps is not really an option.
The reason I am puting pts in the resists if for the passive resistance benefit. every 2% pts into a resist aura gives a passive bonus of 1%. Salvation doesn't give the passive resist bonuses, so IMO it doesn't serve a purpose for this build. As far as activating the auras, i will when I need to but obviously i will switch back to fanat right before i make contact with the opposing char.

get rid off the off gcs and use pcomb lifers or life/res scs

get rid off soj and use a raven frost with 20 dex

use Ber'd Shako and Ber'd Up'd HoZ.

use 6 bo cta and pally spirit NOT 4 bo cta and lidless

Try a 45 all res pally spirit in a sacred rondache, I hit 1.4k listed smite with an hdin using it, plus its a ton more (like, 80 more res) res for you.
